Nope - they have yellow and pink versions of their colors, which literally is not captured anywhere in any information ipsy has, so it's going to be a crap shoot.  I agree the correctors look cool though, but again they don't know what we need corrected lol.

ooooooooooh! Spoiler #2 revealed

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Oh, looks like I'm late lol  I hit refreshed and nothing happened so I posted this, my bad!

Does ipsy send out foundation often?

Foundation is the one thing I never wear..so hopefully I will get one of the sticks.

Honestly it would be better for them to send out the correctors, but Ipsy has sent out the Yaby concealers in the past and I would say about 50% or more of subscribers received a color that didn't match their skin tone well. Considering you need a much closer match when it comes to a foundation, they're going to have a lot of unhappy subscribers if foundation is sent out.

Although they will most likely respond with exactly what they did last time with the Yaby Concealers: "Visit our swap forum and trade for a shade that works best for you."

Although I am the most easy-going subscriber ever. If I get a shade that is too dark I'll use it as a contour. Too light (which is almost impossible) I'll use it as a highlight. Not too worried about it. :)

Yeah, I agree with you on this. I actually don't care if it's the perfect color; I've been looking for a new foundation anyway so it'll be nice to try something out. But, like you, I am pretty pale so if the color is off in anyway it will probably be too dark which is fine for a contour.

This is my first bag and I'm excited about all the spoilers they have shown so far and would be happy with any of them.
A corrector and a tinted balm would be really cool as two of the items in the bag. Would love to see an item that we are all getting--I'd get more excited about a sure thing.

I would prefer the shadow stick as well, but like a couple others have said, if I get foundation I can use it as a contour or highlight if it does not match. I do wonder why they are doing a face product like that again since it went pretty poorly last time, but I guess they must have some reasoning to it.

Are any of you concerned that they might raise their prices?  I think this is THE best subscription for your money.

Well, they actually might. I just looked through the quiz again real quick and there is the option to pick what your skin issues are: Redness, fine lines & wrinkles, oiliness & large pores, acne & blemishes, dryness & dehydration, or hyper-pigmentation.

And correctors are typically designed to handle some these issues. The matches still might not be perfect, but they won't be shooting in the dark. So I'm hoping for the best!

I really hope, for ipsy's sake, they only send out the color correctors. You can't match foundation based on their quiz.

Also, I think the theme is going to be something like "New Year - New Horizons" based on the cover picture (city skyline), two spoiler pictures and comment about horizons with the second. (I was so hoping for something related to moisture, renewal/rejuvenation after yesterday's spoiler.)

I wouldn't mind either of these items in the second spoiler either, so far I'm happy 2 for 2, however the last Yaby sample was so dark that I couldn't use it, hoping if I get the Yaby foundation, its closer to my complexion!

yay.gifSo far I am happy will the spoilers for my birthday month bag! I just hope if I get the Yaby it will be a color I can use for something.

I would love one of the colored pots, preferably the more brownish one.  I have so many colorless lip balms and such.

For the two products on the sides...

I usually don't care for shadows in my bag (I'm picky (or boring) in my color choices but the Pearl one is gorgeous!  For the first time I'm hoping for an eye shadow from Ipsy!  Seeing that I almost always get the eye shadows, usually purple, I may have a good chance of getting one.

I'm glad they added more options to the quiz.  I think it will help with any skin care items they send out (although it's not that often they send out skin care). I would love to get a moisturizer!  I guess I need to update my quiz.  Thanks for mentioning this.

That's a really good idea!  I feel like my face gets way too cakey looking when I try to highlight/contour with powder so maybe liquid would work better for me.

This would be the first time if it is a foundation. The last time they sent out anything similar to a foundation were the Yaby concealer pots which were a huge miss.

Updated. Eventually I will merge this back into the discussion thread.

The Yaby concealer l received was a perfect match for me--I was shocked.  Could lightning strike twice? 11dh.gif

I wonder if they'll send us the same shade as the concealer they sent out, for those of us subscribed last May. I got 'buff' last time & I see that's an option for foundation as well.

I'm excited for the shadow pencils! And on a positive note at least they are trying to send out new stuff with the foundation!

oh good point! I am having a redness issue lately but I don't think I did when I did my quiz...probably too late but I'm going to go change it anyway...

It would be a great idea though if  Carmex can do seasonal , limited edition fun pot designs, to make it more fun.
Be wary of using carmex on a regular basis. It damages the tissue and prevents natural moisture on your lips, making you want to reapply very often.

Interesting. True of all of those types of balms or Carmex specifically?

I typically avoid anything with camphor, phenol and menthol . Burt's Bees has menthol in it, but if used in monderation it won't hurt. I use it when my chapped lips are at it's worse, because it will take off the top layer of skin, then finish with adding some kind of oil (argan, coconut, Shea butter). If you use BB, carmex, or blistex religiously it's actually not doing anything for your lips.

I've heard of this with all lip balm, but the fact of the matter is my lips literally peel layers off on a daily basis (they bleed more often than not) when I don't use anything. So I'd rather use something that helps, and might require me to keep using it, than not do anything.

I honestly can't decide which of the items in the spoilers I want!

Spoiler 1 - I always need lip balm!  And I have liked the M + G products I've tried.  But I'm also a sucker for colored lip pots.  I would really love to try it if it's a leftover Em product from November, because I got the mascara.

Spoiler 2 - Hmmmm... Probably hoping for the eye shadow stick.  I was one of the lucky few that got a matching Yaby concealer (Buff), but I'm not sure if I trust them to be correct again!

I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing that I'm so ambivalent this month... but maybe I'll get more excited for the rest of the spoilers.  gaehn2.gif

From what I can tell the correctors are color correctors only, because there is no other info for them that I can see as far as oil control, anti-aging, pore smoothing, etc. Would be cool to try one, I just don't see how they can match them. Oh well, more trading haha.

Well, hold up a sec. I'm not sure what you're referring to exactly, but Carmex having irritants in it and being addictive has been proven false, by Snopes. Sounds like it's basically unsubstantiated rumors/anecdotes that were misconstrued. More info at that link.

Edit: Oh, you're not talking about that. Nevermind then!

True. But the color corrector can help with some of the other things like redness and hyper pigmentation. But who knows; either way, I predict this product being the one that people will gripe about this time. Although, it might be too soon to say....
