Back to subject (since I seem to be the only one getting in trouble here for taking things off subject.) lol, I hope the next item is a skincare.
I'm the same way. Refuse to have that stuff around. I can't stand the fake taste anyways. Yuck. Sucralose is also terrible and has the same adverse effects as aspartame. :-) basically all 0 calorie sweeteners are just pure chemicals and yuckiness. And to be back on topic, I'd also like some skincare! Possibly some sort of toner would be nice and not something we've seen before.

I think I'd prefer a foundation to a corrector IF I lucked out and got a good match. I did like the Yaby concealers they sent out. If they send correctors, I'll probably get the green (well, I know BB asks about rosacea, but I don't remember what Ipsy asks about skin conditions). Anyway, while I do have rosacea, I am so fair that I never find the correctors to be useful. I'd rather use a good foundation and concealer instead. So I guess I'm kind of torn on this one. Maybe trading colors will be easier though as everyone with Yaby will be looking for a good fit. Plus, today I tried the Smashbox BB cream I got in the Superstars set and it was a good match, which is rare for me, so I guess I'm in a pro "foundation type of product mood."

On a side note, I bet I'm the only one on here who has no clue what her NC number is, lol! I see people discuss it all the time, but I've never sought it out. Isn't it Nars or MAC or something? I've only tried 2 Nars products and I tend to stay with Sephora, so no MAC for me. I did try Sephora's new system when it came out, but it wasn't helpful at all, sadly.

I guess I want to keep paying to have the online conversations and reviews too along with the makeup.

I guess I could see that, but since I can come on here, I feel like any monthly sub program can be turned into a prolonged experience on MUT. :D

Me too! "fair" doesn't always match me unless it's with a pink undertone.

ooooh, toner, YESSSS ! Its about time for a new one to try out, (fingers crossed)

and about the aspartame, I heard its chemical composition is nearly the same as fire ant sting poison, and formaldehyde, its why so many women come down with fibro problems

TONER ! TONER ! TONER !  :clap

Im also on the Blush Mystery thread, but it seems to end so abruptly while the full sized skin care products are so amazing, Im left lonely with no one to talk or review with (frown)

You aren't alone! I have no idea what my "NC" number is and I am not a MAC person so I'll probably never find out. :)

I don't know either I was just saying as an idea to help them narrow things down.

I'm not picky about mascara at all but I thought this mascara was the worst. It flakes on me so bad. I have the worst time taking it off. But I wear it because it's my only one.

On the note of the foundation: I got the buff concealer which worked well for me as a concealer, but idk about it has a foundation. I never wear foundation or bb cream. Idk how to explain it but I can feel it and it bothers me. Any powder or primer I am ok with but not foundation. However, I am going to see what color I am next time I am at MAC just so I can keep it "on file" just in case. Also a color is so difficult for me to find because I am pale as a ghost, but I have an insane amount of freckles. :icon_neut Me no likey.

However, I will be sitting here in agony that I cannot use that yaby discount because the Vein eyeshadow is the prettiest thing I have ever seen and used! I don't get why people are saying it wasn't pigmented. It shows up on me with no problem whatsoever. It's so gorgeous. I used it for NYE and I loved it.....I also used the Jcat palette....on my eyes....Im a rebel :rocknroll2: hehe

I had never even heard of an NC number until I read it on here. So you are not alone in not knowing your number.

I'd like to see more Michael Todd products.  It seems like the masks were pretty well liked and not something you can just go get at Target.

I agree that the next sneak peek should be some sort of skin care product. Like others have mentioned, I'd much rather get a toner which I can use everyday than a product I might only use occasionally. And I might be alone on this, but I'd really like a new makeup remover. I have a bunch, but they're all essentially from Avon and I'd like to try something new :)

Really? I didn't have that problem at all. I have no patience for smudge or flakes and the Elizabeth Mott sample was so great for me.

Yep. When I take it off it is just flake city and I think I get it all off, but when I wake up there's flakes all over my eyes. I know it's not my makeup remover. But I am glad that it works for you :)

NC number just refers to which of their foundations products are best for you. NC stands for neutral cool. There's also the NW numbers (these would be for pink undertones as opposed to the golden ones of the NC numbers). In which NW stands for neutral warm. So, rather than naming their products, MAC foundation and such are numbered. For example, I'm about buy and NC 20 or NC 15 (depending on the season). The lower the number, the lighter the shade.

I don't know my N-whatever number either.  Mostly because I can't stand MAC counters.  Never been to one where I've felt like the gals (or guys) at the counter had any interest in helping me.  Asking to see something is usually met with eye rolls and an attitude, like I was asking them to go out of their way or beyond their typical job responsibilities.

Personally I don't want to see any company (Ipsy, Birchbox, Beauty Army, etc) use MAC color numbers to select skin coloring. I would absolutely love to see them add red/pink, yellow and green as undertone selections.

I heard stories like that all the time and it made me scared to go. however, I went and had the nicest lady help me. She was a sweetheart. I was struggling with lipstick (I feel ridiculous about it now, but it was hard for me) and she helped me put it on and found a good color. Now I'm a lipstick junkie. She even told me I had the cutest cupid's bow she's ever seen. The second time I went the lady wasn't as nice but still very nice. I think its good to have a plan of attack when you go in there. I had a list of everything I wanted. I only go on my birthday (the only day I can break my no-buy) but they've always been nice. so if you're ever at the Water Tower Place in Chicago they are super nice there.

Ooh! I'm taking a trip to Chicago in March or April, so I'll have to pop in there!

I had a great experience with that mascara too! I wasn't expecting much, and it's wasn't the best mascara I've ever used but I actually thought it was a good formula and had it in my purse as my travel mascara. Probably wouldn't buy the full size or anything but it was better than I thought it would be!

I didn't use mine since I have a ton to use up that I wanted to try more, but I gave it to my mom and she loved it! She said it worked really well for volumizing.

I really liked the mascara but I have a few drugstore loves and won't spend $20 for it.

I've never really used toner, but I could always use eye makeup remover. I actually just got a new one last week because I ran out, and picked up Nivea waterproof remover to try. It's a cream instead of liquid, and I really like it so far. It leaves the skin around my eyes so soft!

I had such a hard time with that remover! For some reason, it never took everything off. Especially my mascara. I started using the Maybelline waterproof one in the pink bottle and it works a lot better for me. Hope it works for you though!

Funny how products work differently for people. I tried the Maybelline one and it didn't take off anything! I ended up throwing most of it out because I was so frustrated with it.

I love Carmex. I've used it since I was 12 because I loved the smell. I still use it 20+ years later and it's still awesome, at least for me. I'm not as addicted to the scent as when I was young, but I like the tingle of menthol/camphor/peppermint, etc., and to me, it feels great on chapped lips. I do like that you can now buy Carmex in tubes and swivel-up sticks, big upgrade. The one in the gray slender tube is great.

Also, there's something called "Daily Essentials Network" that's actually a front for a Carmex product testing panel that you can join. I've been in their system for a few years and have gotten a lot of different products to try, including the healing cream and healing lotion before they hit the shelves, and ditto for the Moisture Plus gray swivel tube and tinted lip balm version. I highly recommend it.

I got a Yaby concealer in Vanilla and it was too light, so I got one in Buff off of eBay, and it's pretty close, but a hair too dark. Between the two of them, I can make it work, and the lighter color is also good for me as an eyeshadow base/eyelid concealer. I still keep them in that GlamRx palette, which I love, along with a depotted Benefit Dandelion sample and two Yaby shadow samples. It's not my daily go-to, but I do like having it in the little palette for touchups. I left it sitting on my laptop one day and was shocked by how much better it worked when it had been warmed up a little. Maybe warming it on your hand would help. I love Yaby's samples because they're so microscopically small and portable. The pans are a nice weight, too, not flimsy. Not sure how the foundation is going to go--I would have preferred another pan product from Yaby.

How does one join the Daily Essentials Network panel? I googled it but could only find the log in page but nowhere to sign up.

I went to my MAC counter to get matched, primarily so I had a number for reference. The consultant matched me and said, ok, you are a 2! No "NC" or "NW" or anything else. Just "2". I felt like Forrest Gump when people asked him how many shrimp he had caught (he answered, "I caught five").
Womp womp.
