Boyfriend Make-up

Hey you make-up Freaks!

So basically this forum topic I chose was going to be about boyfriend-make up...
The big question obviously is, What kind of make up is ''appropriate'' if you are going to your boyfriend's house or your boyfriend is coming to your house?????

Okay, so first of all, I just wanna make 1 thing clear!

-DO YOUR MAKE UP AS NATURAL AS POSSIBLE, DON'T PUT ON THAT DAMN RED LIPSTICK WITH THAT DAMN BLUE EYESHADOW GIRL! DO NOT PUT LOADS OF FOUNDATION ON UR FACE AND ESPECIALLY, GO EASY ON THE BLUSH!!! GUYS WANT TO C U AS NATURAL AS POSSIBLE, IF YOU PUT ON HEAVY MAKE UP GUYS ARE GOING TO BE TURNED OFF BECAUSE THEY WILL HAVE THE DAMN FEELING THAT YOU ARE INSECURE + THE'LL C YOU AS A CLOWN!
POINT IS.... GUYS THINK YOU LOOK HELLA DISGUSTING IF YOU DO WEAR HEAVY MAKE UP (infront of them).

kay, now that's said

I was wondering what kind of ''looks'' YOU think is ''appropriate'' when you are going to see your boo.

BTW, Here are my 5 easy steps to achieving ''Boyfriend Make-up'':

-Put a bit of concealer on, and a sheer foundation ( The one you can still see your skin through it)
-A bit of blush on your nose to give you that cute rosy look (NOT ON THE CHEEKS BECAUSE YOUR NATURAL FACE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THAT)
1-Just use a bit of mascara
2-Liquid eyeliner on top (that I kinda bring out for that sexy look aka eqyptian look)
3-Pencil eyeliner lightly on the bottom
4-Flavoured lip balm or gloss, in the colour of your lips or a invisible one
5-Run away from the mirror as fast as you can before you grab that damn eyeshadow or put on some more of that crap on your face!!! You look great , your boo is going to love it!!!

Warning: Do not use powder, this makes you look older and cakey, A bit of translucent powder on the shiny areas is okay, but try not to use it. If you are shiny though, go ahead and just use those oil blotting sheets by clean&clear and you'll be good!

Okay thats that, now im really excited what looks YOU like to wear to your boyfriends house!

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

To be quite frank I think that all men are different - most men can't even recognise how much makeup you're wearing, unless it's really badly applied.

I would wear exactly the makeup I normally wear when I'm out and about, and as time goes on, if we were just going to his house to hang out, probably minimal to no makeup.

If I'm wearing bright red lipstick, then that's what I'm wearing, I wouldn't change it just because I'm seeing him - although, I find that I don't wear lipstick when I'm in a relationship simply because the smudging is frustrating

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

ITA Rosie, I'm going to be myself. I cut out the lipstick and kind of go for a stain more and a balm if I want color if I'm around a guy. I've found that all guys are different. I've even had guys that ask for MORE makeup. So you really can never tell. It's about me and if they dont' like it, then really they are not the right one. Sorry if this is kind of a ramble I wanted to get a few things out.

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

As long as I'm smiling my husband is ok with my makeup choices or lack thereof. Sometimes it's just one of those days where I'm going natural and some days I have everything on. He appreciates both and is mature enough to understand the aspects and reasons why I make my choices.

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

I could care less of what my SO thinks of my makeup but I can always trusts him to let me know if something looks bad. I think if I have to have an appropriate look for a b/f then that's not someone I'd want to spend time with. Where's the freedom in that?

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

I like to wear what makes me look good. Period. While I do tend not to wear as much lip products I don't go out of my way not to wear certain makeup because that would be too much like hiding a part of myself!

My ex-boyfriend saw me w/red lipstick once and not only started getting really bothered by it he kept telling me to take it off because it looked like a "joke". You'd think I plastered my entire face w/clown makeup by the way he was acting. Needless to say he's an "ex" for a reason.

Good thing he's your ex. There is nothing wrong with that lipstick and it certainly does not make you look like a "joke". Even if he disliked it there are other ways of expressing his displeasure at your choices.

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

my boy likes my makeup
and he likes me without it.
sometimes he thinks i do it too dark though.
but he still thinks i'm beautiful.

pshh yeah

he said he never really noticed girls makeup before he met me
and now he's like "omg ew that girls eyeliner makes her look like a racoon" or "omg thisgirl in my anatomy class looked really hot from far away then i looked at her face and she had like craters filled in with nasty cracked looking caked on concealer an then she didn't look hot anymore... and she had on way too much blush" haha

Hmmmmm. He's becoming quite the expert? Better hide your makeup.. So he doesn't start experimenting.. Lol

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

I wear whatever I want to wear around my boyfriend. He doesn't complain, and even if he did, I'd just tell him to shut it, lol.

babygirl you look real good in that red gloss!!! You rockin dem lips!
but yeh I understand why your ex is your ''ex'' in that case, but in 1 way it is understandable because most boys like to kiss ''unmasked'' lips, know what I mean? Like one time I wore this heavy lip gloss(clear) and when I kissed him he was like ''what's that sticky stuff'', you know what I mean It is never nice for anyone to be kissing sticky coloured lips, chapstick will do just fine. But anyways what I am trying to say, your boo should still love you even with the make up, because that is what you like to do!!
Anyways thats y I opened this thread, to hear what yall gotta say. As I said, as of what I have heard from all my guy friends is that they hate heavy make up.

Keep the comments coming I wanna know!!!

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

lol I think I posted this before but IMO aNY mAn Who Says he HAtes HEavy Makeup is a LIAR/ Hypocrite IMO If he says He doesnt Really care Or Notice it That I believe is true I Know Sooo Many Guys who say They hate Heavy Makeup on a Girl Yet When that Gorgeous Model type porn Girl walks by with A Sh*** Load of Makeup & Lashes Their they go Drooling lol I Wear Tons Tons of Makeup & Have NEVER EVER Had one guy complain!!!!! Now What I think they mean by "Hate heavy Makeup" is TO US A Girl like Mimi lol From drew carey Her makeup is DONE WRONG But to a guy Her makeup is HEAVY See what I mean!!! Think about it

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

I've talked to several guys like Monet mentioned who say they hate girls who wear lots of makeup yet all the girls they check out are the ones who are wearing lots of makeup. Monet, every look I've seen you post here on MUT has been stunning so I know nobody would be complaining .

I've been with my bf for almost 6 yrs. so he doesn't count, but there's no way I'd change my style of makeup over a guy. Sometimes I barely wear any and sometimes I wear a lot, but it's my decision to look however I want. If someone doesn't like that it's perfectly fine, we all have different opinions and taste, but if he wants to complain or tell me to change something he can just kiss my ass bc it won't happen .

I don't see a "joke" anywhere in that picture. I think you're gorgeous and that color really suits you. Glad he's an ex, he sounds like a joke for a boyfriend.

Personally, I wear whatever kind of makeup I want. If the guy has a preference (prefers lipgloss to lipstick, likes certain colors on me more than others, etc) then yeah, I would wear a bit more of what he likes, but if he wants me to wear no makeup at all, or a full face of makeup at all times, then he's history. For the most part, I wear my makeup for ME, not anyone else.

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

what a jerk. That lipstick looked hot. Fair enough if he didn't like getting lipstick on him when he kissed you, but looks wise, there is nothing that makes you look like a joke!

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

Aw you guys are sweet! *blushes*

I definitely understand if a guy does not want to be kissing anyone w/uber crazy sticky lips and foundation that smears onto his shirt cuz I won't load it on if I'm planning on spending quality time with my guy. But it's a definite turn off to me when he tries to curtail what I want to wear so long as I don't look like absolute crap.

Re: Boyfriend Make-up

My makeup application is way too light for my bf to complain. Although he tells I dont need make up to be sweet. Whether I need it or not makeup is my hobby. lol

Lol! On a slight tangent I always thought it was really funny when ppl went to "sleep" on tv w/all that make up on. Especially when they had on loads of dramatic eye makeup.
