Over the last few years, CBD has become a hot ingredient in the wellness community because it is thought to have many health benefits. What is CBD? It is a cannabinoid that comes from the Cannabis plant. It is thought to help with relieving pain, fight anxiety, reduce acne and be anti-inflammatory, among other positive effects. It is important to know that CBD does not make you high, though it comes from the same plant as THC. According to High Times, “Because CBD doesn’t get you high, products that contain only this cannabinoid can skirt the legal ban on marijuana.” This means that CBD is legal almost everywhere.

CBD has been embraced by the beauty industry and has made its way into shampoos, moisturizers and body oils. In fact, recently it has become trend for spas to include CBD in various treatments. Here are a few ways that spas are using the amazing powers of CBD to bring a relaxing and holistic experience to their guests:

A warm bath is always a great way to start off a visit to a spa! Soaking in a bath with CBD will help soothe your body and get you feeling super relaxed. If you have any pain issues, it will also help ease your aches. One spa that offers CBD in their hydrotherapy is Larchmont Sanctuary Spa in Los Angeles. Larchmont spa offers a calming soak in a custom-built copper tub. Guests will enjoy the benefits of a CBD Bath Bomb that formulated to relax your muscles. “This preparation makes subsequent massage treatments more effective,” shares the spa on their website.

A massage with CBD brings anti-inflammatory and anti-anxiety benefits to the service to enhance the results. It will help melt away your stress! DuBunne Spa Club and Massage Centre offers Cannabliss Massage and explains that “A gentle massage with the CBD infused oils will stimulate your skin and help you to feel more alert and alive. The massage therapist performs the treatment in a way that not only are the muscles and joints stimulated, but the skin also comes to life and will feel soothed & less irritated.” Another Los Angeles spa that offers CBD in their massages in Desuar Spa. At Desuar, CBD can be added to any massage as an enhancement for only $20.

With its many amazing qualities, spas are also adding CBD to their facial menus. For instance, Celebrity esthetician Ildi Pekar’s wellness studio in New York offers a CBD Vibe Facial, “designed to provide an instant uplifting energy and illuminate the skin by combining the effects of CBD Oil, electric stimulation, and oxygen therapy.”

CBD is even being using in nail salon services! At Bellacures, a salon with locations in Los Angeles and Texas, clients can enjoy the Canna-cure. On their website, Bella describes what guests can expect from this treatment: “Known for its efficacy at providing deep targeted pain relief, aches will ‘melt away’ during an enhanced massage using Kush Queen’s CBD relief lotion, made with an organic aloe juice base, blended with powerful botanicals and powered by true nanotechnology. Clients will also be treated to a CBD chocolate to ‘chill’ from the inside out.” Sign us up!

Can’t say I don’t like the tendency of growing popularity of cannabidiol, finally world begins to recognize it’s beneficial properties. I also never known it is being used in so many different industries, I personally use cannabis for vaping only, mostly with my oil cartridge vaporizer (which goes with eGo battery) .
