  • One Interesting Fact About Me
    Array
  1. I'm guilty of doing this, so wondering if anyone else is. I tend to purchase k-beauty products that have cuter packaging over those that don't. TONY MOLY, for example is so good at packaging their products in the cutest ways imaginable!! I carry around their banana and mango hand cream/lotion in my bag, and everywhere I go, people always ask me where I purchased it. Sure, some products are excellent and they don't need the extra "boost" from cute packaging, but others are just too cute for me to not buy (even if they're not the greatest products) !!!! Is anyone else guilty of doing this as well?
  2. I do it all the time for sheet masks actually. I love the feeling of putting on a cool sheet mask after a hot shower. In Korea, girls even have mini-refrigerators specifically made for skincare products, too.
  3. Check out Nature Republic. Their Ginseng Royal Silk Watery Cream is my absolute favorite!
  4. I'm a huge k-drama fan, and the recent release of Descendants of the Sun, starring Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye-Kyo has taken over Asia. It's broken viewer rating records across S. Korea and China, and everything that the actress was wearing on the series, including her lipstick, Juicy Pop, has been selling off the shelves faster than lightening. The drama is so popular that Laneige even has a special page dedicated to this drama with a list of all the products that the actress used on the show. BBC recently did a special article on it. Juicy Pop is actually a really great lipstick on its own (without the hype of the drama series), because the lipstick is divided into TWO colors. That's why they call these the TWO TONE LIP BAR lipstick. The yellow side provides a softer hue on the edges while the hot orange hue provides the main color towards the middle of your lips. Check out the hype here!
  5. One of the latest Korean beauty trends in Seoul involves using red ginseng roots (ginseng has been widely popular for health and skincare reasons in Korea for many years) to produce creams, lotions, and essence oil. Donginbi is one of the companies capitalizing on this skincare trend, and it claims that it takes ten 6-yr old ginseng roots to produce just two drops of its essence oil. I received a Donginbi skincare set as a gift this past Korean Lunar New Year, and so far the results have been astonishing. I used to get little bumps on my skin, especially after wearing makeup for long periods of time, but I no longer have that problem. Feel free to check out more at (link removed) Let me know if you've tried this product before and how you liked it, or if you've heard of any other red ginseng products out there. Thanks!
