  1. Our skin is a very sensitive organ of the body. Every day it goes through environment changes, temperature fluctuations, pollution, and dirt. While tackling with all of them, it has a great responsibility to secrete oils and sweat to protect itself from the outside world and maintain the body temperature. Basically, at the end of the day it not only gets exhausted, but goes into a dire need of nutrients to replenish its energy. A chemical product may give your skin instant glow, but it becomes a crutch. It makes our skin dependent upon chemical based products so much that if the product is not used, the skin starts falling into the worst conditions like dryness, acne, excess oils etc. Hence, plant based skin care brands are emerging to bring you a better option that will replenish all the natural oils and nutrients of your skin and make it naturally healthy. The natural and plant-based skin care products do not have harmful toxins that your body might intake through the epidermis’ habit of absorbing whatever is applied on it. Don’t Be Afraid To Ask For Help If you’re extremely overwhelmed, it’s OK to reach out to a friend or family member for help. Don’t feel like you have to do it all by yourself! Having someone watch your kids for the evening or asking a classmate for help when you’re struggling are simple things that can release so much stress! Get Organized If you have a lot of clutter, either at home or at work, it can add to your stress level – even if you don’t realize it! By cleaning up, getting organized, and creating some sort of schedule for yourself, you’ll feel much better.

Afterglow Cosmetics With makeup for the face, eyes, and lips, Afterglow offers a great range of natural products. They also have vegan makeup brushes for sale! Lotus Cosmetics Lotus’s website reads “Lotus Bio-Mineral is a natural cosmetics line designed to provide pure, natural and healthy beauty products. All of our products are safe for our customers and environmentally friendly”. They offer a couple different lipsticks, two different eyeshadows, a mascara, and some great face products as well! Jane Iredale Jane Iredale offers a huge line of all-natural makeup products that are worth trying out! Her goal when starting her company was to make products that look good, feel good, and are good for the skin. Her site offers some great beauty tips and an ingredient library. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, it is “the practice of maintaining a nonjudgmental state of heightened or complete awareness of one’s thoughts, emotions, or experiences on a moment-to-moment basis.” Being mindful is important because it can reduce our stress levels and lead to a happier life! When you are in control and aware of your thoughts and emotions, you will be able to handle situations better. This means that you will not become as overwhelmed or overly reactive to what is happening around you. So how can you be mindful? With practice, of course! Mindfulness is a natural process, so everyone is capable of doing it. All you need is about 10-15 minutes a day to retrain your body! As we get older, the stress and anxiety of life makes mindfulness more difficult. You must learn to overcome it! Here’s how you can practice being mindful: Meditate Put on some meditation music, get comfortable, close your eyes, and allow your mind to focus. Feel your breath and bring attention to the physical ways your body reacts to breathing. Next, notice what your legs and arms are doing. Make sure they are relaxed and in a natural state. Make Time to Be Mindful Take a few moments out of your day to be aware of your mindfulness. This is different from meditation because you can do it anywhere and you are not aiming to calm the mind. For 15 minutes out of your day, step away from what you are doing to really notice what is going on around you. Observe the present moment. And that’s it! Mindfulness is a simple practice that just requires daily attention in order for it to become a habit. Start today and then watch your mind become healthier and yourself become happier!
