  1. I just watched The Devil Wears Prada and loved all of Anne Hathaway's looks, but felt especially inspired by the red lipstick at the end of the movie. I am very very fair (pink undertones) with dark blonde hair and brown eyes. My lips aren't especially plump. Which lipsticks and liners would you recommend (I read the breakdown of how they did that particular look for the movie--using Benetint and a Dior lippie and I'm not interested in those)? I'm looking for something more matte or creamy as I don't like a lot of shimmer or frost. Note that it does not have to look just like the movie--I am simply looking for a great red lipstick, and the movie inspired me to do so. Pleeeeeeeease help. I tried the online artist at MAC and they kept suggesting darker, deeper reds with more burgundy in them. Currently the only red lippie I have is Clinique Angel Red, which is a nice color, but the staying power sucks, and it isn't "red" enough.
  2. I have long, fine, mostly straight hair. It is usually pretty limp, so I was thinking about buying some hot rollers or something along those lines to add volume (and curls, if I want). Does anyone have any recs? Those Caruso steam hairsetters are still around, though a little different than the old version of course, but I don't know if they are actually any good. I also read something about Conair Ion Shine rollers somewhere... Thanks in advance!

  4. The only TM I have ever tried is the Covergirl one in the lightest shade (I think it's called Fair to Ivory). It has SPF 15, has not made me break out, and looks very natural (I am super pale). I like it a lot. Sometimes I detect a slight pink tint, but I'm not sure if this is due to my concealer or the TM.

  6. my husband, and he said he'd buy me a new Clinique lipstick. I already have: perfect beige, blushing coral, honey gloss, bamboo pink, glow bronze I am very fair with dark blonde hair, brown eyes, and pink undertones. I'd really like an "everyday" sort of lipstick because I don't think I have one. Thanks in advance!

  8. What's in your CD/mp3 player right now? What's your favorite song/band at the moment? I think mine would have to be Switchfoot...any song by them.
  9. After seeing this all over the internet, I decided to try it. For those that may not know what it is, the aspirin mask has several different "recipes", but the general gist is this: take some aspirin (the uncoated kind) and dissolve them in warm water. Spread the mixture all over your face...let dry, rinse off. Some people add aloe vera gel or cetaphil moisturizer or cleanser...but I think you get the point. It is supposed to be an exfoliator, due to the tiny bits of aspirin that do not dissolve completely and also due to the fact that aspirin contains salicylic acid. Well...I have tried it several times. My skin feels nice afterwards, but within the next day or two, I am COMPLETELY broken out ALL OVER! I don't know what it is, because I have used salicylic products often, but this just does not work for me. I probably will never try it again, but I'd be interested if anyone may have a clue why it does this to me.
  10. Is there any makeup product out there that you haven't tried yet that you just CAN'T WAIT to get your hands on? Or maybe one you have used before but ran out and can't wait to get again?
