  1. Hi, I've been on the market for a new flat iron. So far, I've had the HAI convertable and the original CHI. I have extremely thick hair...and lots of it! It's wavy/curly and has tons of volume and I live in pretty much 100% humidity so a flat iron has to be really great to keep my hair under control! I've had the HAI for over 2 years and the CHI for about a week. I did a side by side comparison of the two (I styled half my hair with one iron and half with the other.) I didn't notice a huge difference. I think the CHI slipped through my hair a bit more easily and left it a TEENY bit smoother, but it was a slight difference. However it also seems to snag my hair a bit more, not too much, but I lost a few hairs! The HAI is very well made. It is sturdy (has lasted me over 2 years) and I also like that you can control the temperature on it (210 - 400 degress). I got mine for $80. The CHI is plastic and feels cheaper. It has a set temperature of 370 degrees and I paid $130 for it. Overall, I don't think that the CHI is much better even though I know it's the most popular. My hairdresser gets amazing results with it, but for me, it's not much better than the HAI. I'm going to exchange it for the T3 Tourmaline just to see the difference and if that's no better than the HAI, I'll probably just stick with what I have until it gives out!
  2. I've never tried Smooth Down, but I've used All Soft and Sleek Look. Sleek Look is my HG. It tames my frizzies and keeps my hair soft and smooth. I haven't noticed any buildup either, but I try and switch out my products and use a clarifying shampoo occasionally to help with that. I do think this could weigh your hair down if you use the whole line. I have very thick hair wavy hair so I use tons of product when I straighten it. I didn't love All Soft. It did make my hair soft...almost TOO soft! It didn't seem to do much for my frizzies.

    Boujious ?

I'm a big fan of Bourjois. I have several of the lip glosses. I think the colors are really nice and I like the consistency. I also have some shadows and blushes. I agree that some of them can be very sheer, but I'm OK with that. I love the cute packaging of their products!
  4. Where do you get tea tree oil? I've actually heard about the aspirin in shampoo thing. I might make a separate bottle of it so if it messes with my shampoo, I won't ruin all my expensive shampoo!
  5. Thanks for the tips ladies, I'll have to try out the listerine!
  6. I've read something about how when estrogen levels are higher, the body burns slightly more fat so around your period you burn a few more calories...not sure on how all this works, but I know I've read it before!
  7. Oh! I thought the pink and yellow ones weren't working for her because of her coloring or something, sorry
  8. My scalp has recently started itching and my hair stylist said I had some dandruff, but she said that dandruff shampoos are really bad for hair. Is that true? If so, then what should I use? Thanks ladies!
  9. I used to use blotting papers...they are for soaking up excess oil right? I had some from Body Shop. But they were always white, not color at all on the paper. Is this a new product? And what do the colors do for your skin?
  10. I like the selection, I might have to try them out! Please review them so I know what to get!!!!!!
  11. Wow...this really is a perfect description of me! That's really weird! <table cellspacing="0" align="center"> <tr> <td style="font: bolder small-caps 14pt Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif; color: black; text-transform: capitalize; word-spacing: .3em; text-align: center; background: #bce9ff; border-style: double; border-color: gray; padding: 5px; width: 350px;"> Your Birthdate: April 12</td> </tr><tr> <td style="font: small-caps small-caps 12pt Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, serif; color: black; text-transform: none; text-align: left; background: #e2f5ff; border-style: double; border-color: gray; padding: 5px; width: 350px;"> Being born on the 12th day of the month (3 energy) is likely to add a good bit of vitality to your life. The energy of 3 allows you bounce back rapidly from setbacks, physical or mental. There is a restlessness in your nature, but you seem to be able to portray an easygoing, sometimes "couldn't care less" attitude. You have a natural ability to express yourself in public, and you always make a very good impression. Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing. You are energetic and always a good conversationalist. You have a keen imagination, but you tend to scatter your energies and become involved with too may superficial matters. Your mind is practical and rational despite this tendency to jump about. You are affectionate and loving - but very sensitive. You are subject to rapid ups and downs.</td> </tr> </table> <div align="center"> <a href="http://www.blogthings.com/whatdoesyourbirthdatemeanquiz/">What Does Your Birth Date Mean?</a> </div>
