  1. I second the Urban Decay primer potion. I don't have hooded eyes, but I used to use that primer and the eyeshadow stayed on all day looking fresh. Also, maybe keep your eyes down until the mascara dries? Or, put one of those round, flat cotton pads behind your lashes until they're dry, so it catches the colour? Also sometimes if you ask on the forums, some people might be willing to buy you things you can't get hold of and ship them to you.
  2. Hello! I have been using Phytomer purifying cleansing gel (gel nettoyant purifiant). It is rather expensive however, and seeing as credit crunch is everywhere, I was wondering if you guys know any alternatives that are similar to this product? It is a very gentle blue gel that used with some water cleans the oil off your face. I like it so much because it doesn't make the skin dry afterwards and it really just removes the grease. Any UK budget tips welcome! Thanks
  3. Get 20% off in OASIS, UK, Ireland and oasis-stores.com from 6-9th of november. Just present at till.
  4. Make sure you always have a coat of nail hardener on. I use sally hansen teflon tuff, but i heard they're discontinuing it and they recommend diamond strength or something along those lines instead. I think it's inevitable to break nails every now and then, unless you put an acrylic top coat over it. But if you prefer the natural look, i'd say just keep them looked after and always coated with protective hardener. And also, keep them at a comfortable length where they are longish, but not too long to get caught in stuff and break. that's my tips
  5. I use nivea face wipes. I find oily so difficult to get off afterwards, so I avoid them.
  6. you can buy daylight simulation bulbs in an art shop, maybe that would work as a natural light substitute? id personally do that and get a lamp and put it next to a mirror rather than spend loads of money on a ready made one.
  7. so, would you guys recommend buying this one rather than the original one? I'm not acne prone but my skin can get a bit oily during the day. for those of you who've tried both, what's your verdict?
  8. The second one is my favourite. It looks very glamourous.
  9. thanks girls. i think a primer will be my next purchase.
  10. I love Lush. It's all natural and hand made too which i like about it. yum yum.

  12. Hey girls! I'm sure this has been answered a million times already so please feel free to direct me in the right direction, i just wasn't sure what to search for to find them. What is the best thing to use to stop my foundation from melting off during the day? I use tinted moisturizer (Laura Mercier) and my skin soaks most of it up during the day. Just need something to make it last and stay looking fresh, or present! lol. I'd like something that looks natural and still gives me that dewy, effortless no-makeup look. Is loose powder, some sort of fixative after the makeup is done, or primer something to use, or what are your tried and tested recommendations? Thanks e
