  1. ^ Thanks ice_cookies! Thank you! The good thing about MMU collections is that they generally don't expire unless exposed to water or humidity, so I will really treasure my stash for years to come. Don't mind my signature, that was a year ago, so yes, I have not updated it.
  2. Yup, this is one of my all-time favorites as well. EG Minerals makes top-notch MMU.
  3. 1. Aromaleigh, very pigmented and glides like a dream on the skin; over 300 choices with different textures and they also come up with limited edition collections, and most importantly, you don't wait forever to get your orders. I get mine in 3 business days. 2. Lumierecosmetics (dot) com 3. Adorned With Grace. Their pigments remind me of MAC's shadows' texture.
  4. This is one of my favorite MAC collections ever. Here are some of my swatches for those interested:
  5. I just got a whole bunch of amazing duo fibre (skunk) brushes from Lumiere. They are so beautiful! They just had a pre-buy where you only shell out $6 or $7 for each one, but you need to wait for 2.5 months to get them. This was the 2nd time I'd joined the pre-buy. They are worth the wait, though. They don't shed and the hairs are of good quality. I have 2 MAC 187 brushes and although the latter is a bit more dense than Lumiere's, I don't see difference in ease in application. My faves are also the angled skunk (who would have thought of that?), and it's such an amazing contour/blush brush. Here are my pics: TheShadesOfU.com: My Lumiere Pre-Buy Brushes Are Here! (2009 Version)
  6. I absolutely love EG Minerals too. Yuan Yuan in the Cover Me formula is my best match right now. It does cover flawlessly and it melds into the skin perfectly. The finish is seamless. That's the reason why I bought several foundations as well as eyeshadows during their BOGO sale.
  7. Seems that Silk Naturals has taken the Philippines off their list of countries. I've had problems with Silk Naturals' e-mail communication in the past as well. I've read several incidents regarding this and I hope they have improved in this area. I still love their products, like their lipsticks (best mineral lippies IMO) and the finishing powders.
  8. Aromaleigh has very bright, glittery, unique colors, with different highlights, lowlights, depths and textures. I am a mineral shadow fiend and I believe AL has some of the best. And they ship really fast as well.
  9. Is it true that storing MMU in the bathroom is a no-no especially if you want to have them for a really long time? I've read of course that MMU doesn't expire except if you introduce moisture and humidity. Since bathrooms are not really a cool and dry place especially because of regular exposure to hot steam, I think it's probably wise not to store MMU in the bathroom if you want to prolong the shelf life. I store them in my hardwood dresser in the bedroom.
  10. I'm loving their Youthful Glow foundation. Here's my review for those looking for more feedback on this brand: Shades of U - A Beauty Blog: MAC Thunder Eyes Quad and Earthen Glow Minerals
  11. Pure Anada is the creamiest I've tried, almost like liquid foundation. Thepureboutique.com

Thanks soo much!! this thread is really helping me! If you have yellow undertones, try Tethys or Minerva. I bought some stuff from DW last night and I can't wait to get them! I got 2 samples each of the glows, plus samples of the Summer of Danger, Mother Earth/Father Sky, and Atlantis worlds. I also got a full size of Ra's Chariot e/s 'cause it's a very pretty color, as I already tried it from a sample. The savings is pretty huge after the discount, $11 with free shipping because I got more than $50 worth of products after the 15% discount. There's a free lipgloss for this week too (well, almost free, since it's $.01). I also got samples of the finishing powders plus a full size of Peach creme topping. If you are eyeing stuff from DW, I suggest you take advantage of the discount, free shipping over $50, and the free lipgloss (freebie for this week).
  13. Try Cory, her foundations are mica-free. Goodluck and don't give up just yet!
