    ZUM soap

Anybody ever tried this? It's made from goat's milk and various essential oils. The reviews I've read on the net has been pretty good so far. But then again, at $5.30 plus taxes a pop, it better be some soap!
  2. I was wearing my bare escentuals makeup and my face was itching because of the bismuth. So I started scratching and rubbing my cheeck. The whole time I was giving a speech to a group of 50 new hires and I didn't want them to think bad of me. I honestly forgot about the incident until I went to the bathroom around lunch and saw long red scratch marks down my cheeck and half of my foundation and blush rubbed off. So I had this huge bare spot in the middle of my perfectly made up face. Not a good moment in life for me.
  3. Last things bought were 5 eyeshadow from Joppa and a refill of their finishing silk setting powder. Also bought a nice vitamin e and lavender facial cream that is just luxury in a bottle. Next thing I'm going to buy is the refillable powder dispending travel brush they now offer and the new soap Joppa is about to launch. I got a sample of the soap and all I can say is it's the best soap I've ever used. And with my sensitive skin, I've used everything under the sun!
  4. I do my foundation and eye makeup at home and do my lipstick when I get in the car. I never really put on full makeup and now I'm down to just wearing foundation and eyeliner. I even skip the finishing silk now because I find that my skin has improved so much I don't need it.

  6. No they're not running for presidency, although I wish they would. There is a petition out there somewhere asking for them to run. Heck I'd definitely sign it.
  7. No, I don't mean they both run for presidency, I think Colbert was supposed to be Vice President and sidekick to Jon Stewart. I think Stewart is supposed to be the presidential candidate. I don't know Tony, I think those two guys are very in touch with world affairs. Have you ever seen their interviews outside of the Daily Show and Colbert Report? They are very knowledgeable and in touch with what goes on in the US and beyond. Just the other day, Jon had the Prime Minister of Pakistan on his show. If that's not worldly I don't know what is.
  8. While driving to work today, I heard on the radio that there is a movement to have Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert run for presidency for 2008. Although Jon Stewart came out and say he has no plans of running, I am definitely one of those people who would vote for him. I simply adore Stewart and Colbert, they are both intelligent, in tune with world events, articulate, well arounded, and eloquent men. I honestly wish I can say the same about our current President. I have a lot of respect for those two guys and I would love nothing more than to see them in the White House. They are so on the point with everything, and god are they sexy or what! I don't usually like my men in stuffy Brookes Brothers suits but boy those two even makes suits look sexy. All I can say is their wives are damn lucky to have that coming home to them.
  9. Isn't it interesting that so many people have reactions to brands that are really expensive as well as drug store brands? I think there's some truth to the avoid makeup in general advice. Sigh, if only I looked like Angelina Jolie... I'm serious, imagine what it would be like to wake up every morning and look hot like that? Or better yet, wake up next to Brad Pitt!
  10. I would have to say I'm not surprised, my skin was flawless before I started using Lancome, and then over 6 months it just deteriorated and 2 years later, I suddenly have acne problem where I never had before. I now completely switched off those brands and only use mineral makeup. Hopefully this will get my skin back to the way it used to be. Although now I have tons of acne scars that will take forever to heal.
  11. Joppa Minerals is great for rosacea, in fact that's what it was originally made for. Check them out at joppaminerals.com
  12. Yay on the eyeshadows and blushes, nay on the mascaras. Their mascaras are ok, but for the amount of money they charge, it didn't impress me. Yay on their skin care line though, although they tend to be very expensive. Order online from the lancome-usa.com website, if you order over $50 (which is easy to do) your shipping is free and they send you free samples. I didn't have to buy any eyeshadows, mascara, and blushes for 3 years thanks to the free samples.
