  1. Great thread! I'm ssoooo ready to try something new!
  2. German and Dutch. No clue why I came out with olive skin and very dark hair!
  3. Bob - I'm in the same boat as you as far as pitch-white face and more tanned body. For a long time I thought something had to say "bronzer", but have lately been using the Loreal Tru Match powder. I just buy a shade that's close to the color of my chest. Use a big brush to dust it over the face - don't forget the neck! Sherry
  4. I use a brush - seems to kind of make the makeup go on smoother and helps conceal undereye lines
  5. Maja - great info! Thanks
  6. Sounds like it may have a few good tips in it.
  7. I wore strip lashes for about twenty years because my lashes are so short and straight. In January started getting the Lash Extensions. Reasons I love them: 1. You don't even need to wear mascara 2. You wake up with great looking lashes. Cons: 1. They are pretty expensive to keep up. ($50 for refills every 3 weeks.) 2. It's kind of time-consuming to get refills.
  8. When I was ready to start Glycolic Peels, I called the company to discuss the safest/most effective thing to do, and they told me since my goal was younger looking skin AND getting rid of dark spots, I should start with the milder Lactic Acid Peels before doing Glycolic. Took their advice, and am very pleased. (Lactic Acid is supposed to be better at getting rid of dark spots.)
  9. I use 40% Lactic Acid Peel from Makeupartistschoice.com Since lactic acid doesn't penetrate oil, I do an aspirin mask the day before my LA peel, and have been very pleased. I bought the sample size, and have used it once a week for 3 months. The sample size goes a long way! If you do order from MUAC, be sure to buy a bottle of the toner. They send a tiny bottle along when you order sample sizes, but it's not enough to last more than 2 or three peels. Am fixing to move on up to the 55% LA peel in hopes of further lightening my "age spots".
