  2. Thanks I found it on Kijiji for a steal. I was really excited when I found it.
  3. When I'm feeling the "itch" I: * Reorganize my stash (usually I rediscover lost gems) * Search current makeup looks, and dupe them using my stash (this usually works for the new MAC collections, and I usually discover that I already have really similar colors already) * Try to remember that I really don't need 20 different shades of the same color. They may look different swatched, but once they are applied they will look really similar. (like Mac's going bananas and Mac's Sun Blonde. Are they really so different that I can't achieve the same look? Do I have to match the look exactly? Can I achieve a similar look using my current stash?) * I make a deal with myself that I have to actually finish 3 items to buy one * Try different combinations of base and shadows, or lipstick and gloss, to get different looks and finishes
  4. I like the dark blue colors from Wet n' Wild pride palette. I think that the teo dark blue shades are dupes for MAC's blue flame and prussian.
  5. Kandee Johnson is advertising a promotion for a brush kit from Crown Brushes, 15 brushes and a brush roll for $29.99. You need to follow the directions on Kandee's blog. Here's the link: http://kandeethemakeupartist.blogspot.com/2010/12/make-up-brushes-for-christmas.html
  6. I just received the E.L.F. Stippling brush, I just washed it today, so I haven't tried it for foundation today. It's a bit smaller than the MAC 187 and not quite as dense, but it's super soft and pretty comparable to the 187 especially for the price.
  7. Last time I was in Michael's they had some tall apothecary jars that had lids. They were tall enough for my MAC brushes. I though they would look pretty cool, and the lid would keep the dust out. here's a pic to show what they kind of looked liked, the pic is from pier1:

  9. I haven't tried it yet (shipping to Canada is a whopping $14.95, Yikes!) I plan on ordering some a little closer to winter when I can get them shipped to the US. They have a bunch of really good coupom codes though: here's a link: e.l.f. Eyes Lips Face Coupon Codes - all coupons, discounts and promo codes for eyeslipsface.com
  10. Rimmel Lip Glosses (my HG lipglosses) Maybelline pure.makeup & mineral powder (best colour match for me) Quo True Skin (makes an awesome primer I think it was LE though because I don't see it anymore) Annabelle eyeshadows (but not thier new LE ones) Rimmel mascara's (My HG, only mascaras that don't irritate my eyes) NYX eyeshadows Annabelle khol liners Wet 'n' Wild 666 Brandywine lipliner BonneBell Toast lipliner BonneBell eyedefiner in soft Black (used to be softer though) Wet 'n' Wild bronzzer in light/med (my HG bronzer) Wet 'n' All over shimmer (my HG highlighter) Wet 'n' Wild blush Naive
  11. I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard that NP is very similar to LaFemme. I haven't has the opportunity to try these yet (I can't find a canadian source) but word is they are pretty good. The only place I have found that carries it is makeupmania.com.
  12. Coastal Scents has a wide variety of brushes, for really good prices. I have a bunch of them and they are a really good value. My favourites are the italian badger brushes, but I also own a few sable brushes and they work very nice for the price. I also find that natural hair bristles seem to deposit color more vividly. If you are just starting your collection I would recomend getting: blush brush eyeshadow brushes, a crease brush and a fluff brush (at least a fluff). a concealer brush (synthetic) a large foundation brush (synthentic)(if you use liquid foundation) or a kabuki or flat top brush (if you use mineral makeup) If you want to add to your haul I'd also add a duo fiber optic stippling brush, an eyeshadow blending brush and a liner brush. I've included the link so that you can see examples of what the brushes look like. You can also use artist brushes that you buy at the craft dtore as makeup brushes, see Koren's video on YouTube about using artist brushes: Here Welcome to the addiction

It's kind of is a pain in the butt to do the OCM anyway, but I like the idea of a natural cleansing method without all the soap and detergents. My skin is too sensitive and dry for all that stuff. My Skin reacted the same way, the first few days I was convinced that I had found my HG, after about a week I had the worst breakout I had ever had. The only things that I have found that mad a significant difference in my skin is Neostrata AHA products and a microfiber cloth.
  14. I store all of mine in a large-ish tackle box. geeko wow, I love the clear display cabinet, it's like shopping your stash every day!
