  • One Interesting Fact About Me
Everyone thinks I'm a prude... LMAO!!!
  1. I'm not sure if your have dry, sensitive skin like me, but I understand needing moisture but rich moisturizers causing break outs. I would say start with your skincare and use a hydrating toner and apply your moisturizer while your face is still damp. I have 2 hydrating primers that I use and really like. They're from Laura Mercier and Stila. The Stila one has spf in it, so I use that during the day. Also, if you use a powder and find that your skin looks dry, Makeup Forever's Mist and Fix works well with both of those primers. Pay attention to products that contain glycerin and hyaluronic acid in them.
  2. I use the real techniques buffing brush and buff on whatever foundation, whether powder, liquid or cream.
  3. I agree that skincare should be completed before makeup. I don't understand either why printer would be put on before moisturiser, especially if the primer is silicone based. But I do get how the primer would prevent sebum from breaking down the foundation and the moisturiser would help it spread over the skin more easily.
  4. I look bummy on purpose when I go shopping. Just to be left alone. But I think because I'm older now and have an air of knowing, I dont recognize the dirty looks anymore at makeup counters. On topic, I refuse to partake in brands that don't cre dr aw gtate foundation shades for dark skin. So Benefit has always been out. So too are Neutrogena, Almay, Physicians Formula Why's everyone hating on Covergirl? Their foundations are nice and light for errand running.
  5. Omg, Adrienne is so right. Netflix has tonnes of bad movies. But by far the worse I've seen are: Dragon wars or D-Wars - no plot whatsoever and even worse dialog. Still demanding a refund. Skyline - The horrible horrible acting, but when you cast ppl from Scrubs... Battle Los Angeles - No words Avatar: Last Airbender really upset me. Jackie Chan and Jet Li, BOO! Disappointing.
  6. I'm muslim and have been cursed out and chastised for my faith from here to infinity, so I understand the trepidation some of you feel. I will say that besides my upbringing, I've read and experienced enough to convince me that there is a being much more powerful than myself. It lives and can communicate with us if we pay attention. I also believe that religion simply attempts to formalize and sometimes expand upon what are really basic natural laws. To me it's a road map left by the wise of the ancients. We can take it or leave it, really, and I just choose Islam for my map.
  7. For 1 month away, I packed a small pouch. My mom was shocked I didn't bring a Caboodle. Makeup: Lash Curler Black Mascara Black liner pencil Beige liner pencil Self made palette of 6 eye shadows I could mix to get colors (dark brown, navy, green, purple, white, gold), and 2 blushes (bright pink, peach), 1 pressed powder Foundation (layer for concealing) Bright pink lipstick, peach gloss, lip balm Sample tubes of eye and face primer Foundation/powder brush, brow brush, eyeshadow brush, smudge/crease brush, blush brush.
