Otherwise I'm not sure why they'd invite you since they should already know if you don't have a machine!

  7. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics and Gail Potocki have collaborated in coming up with a new color collection based on a series of Gail Potocki's Fragmented Alice paintings. These limited edition colors include an acid green and gold-laced metallic stained gloss (Fragmented - $18), three loose colour concentrates ($14) - (Inflicted - Pink Opal, Curved Sky - Iridescent White/Blue-Violet, and NEVAR - golden olive), and two nail lacquers ($10 - Severed - Bright Crimson Creme, and Gryphon - Cement Grey Creme) The names of all of these colors were provided by Gail Potocki, and the colors themselves were all based on her paintings. They wanted to make colors that have a meaning behind them, and not just creating colors for color sake. OCC sees makeup as an art medium, where their artists are makeup artists, and they don't see a line between makeup and art. MakeupTalk was recently invited an exclusive launch party where we were able to preview these colors on the model in the paintings. Gail explained that a lot of her paintings in the past tend to have an environmental theme to them, so she was really happy to work with OCC, being a cruelty free company. The Fragmented Alice painting collection can be viewed in Century Guild's Los Angeles showroom in Culver City, CA. The Fragmented Alice OCC collection is available at occmakeup.com, centuryguild.net, and in the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics flagship boutique in New York City, and at Century Guild in Culver City.
  8. Being a beauty blogger herself, I'm surprised she didn't do a promoted "sneak preview" to her "favorite" blogger friends to help promote it to get reviews all over social media. The website is very casual in appearance, not luxury. Quote: Originally Posted by zadidoll That "trending" thing is what I'm seeing as well. So I don't think it's working right now. I'm guessing that it means "There are 458 people who are similar to myself" not "There are 458 people who have an affinity for me" Quote: Originally Posted by zadidoll Here's what I mean by privacy/security issues. Their privacy agreement says they don't accept information of children under 13, which complies with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) Not sure what the rules are for teen aged minors.
  9. yeah the $3 curlers might have come with one refill, but they don't last forever either. I don't think you can buy them separately. I've been using mostly heated curlers lately though, which don't use pads at all, and they're more effective on stubborn lashes, and I've upgraded to Tweezerman in the last couple years.
  10. I know for me personally, I used to use NYC lash curlers on myself (they fit my eye shape really well, since it has a much flatter curve) and I'd repurchase every so often when the rubber pad would die out. (cheaper materials go bad faster) But, being drugstore prices, I think they were only like $3.50 each? It was just easier to keep buying a new curler at that price.
  11. Welcome Chris. We've got a few men on board, settle down and join in!
