  1. There's nothing wrong with me. It just doesn't work for me. Doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with me. LOL It doesn't work for me and that's all there is to it. To each their own. Just b/c it works for you, doesn't mean that it will work for me. Why would I want to mess with a mascara that doesn't work for me when I found CG Lashblast that works so well for me? Doesn't make sense to me. I'm pretty sure that the One by One will end up in the trash bin.
  2. I'm so bummed that it's not working for you. Especially b/c so many people do love it. I think it's funny b/c I can't use alot of d/s brands, only this CG Lashblast. The other d/s brands don't work for me. I usually wear Clinique High Impact Mascara in the blackest black. Those are my two HG mascaras. All the other d/s brand mascaras haven't worked for me. I wish I could send you the Maybelline One by One mascara. I only tried it once and I hated it! Didn't make my lashes thick and full at all,. which is a deal breaker for me. So if you want it, just let me know and I'll send it to ya. I know hygiene wise it's not the best to share, but it's only been used once! Anyway, let me know what you are thinking and I will let you know as soon as I receive those items from you. Thanks and God bless!
  3. I forgot to mention that the It's a 10, I hate the packaging. It's hard to spray. The Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Tri-Wheat Leave-In Conditioner has a much better spray bottle. It's not a pump like the It's a 10, but a squeeze nozzle bottle. Much easier to work with and doesn't make your finger cramp b/c you use your whole hand to squeeze the trigger. That to me is a big deal.
  4. This is a nice leave-in conditioner. I find that it leaves my hair soft and silky and detangles very well! I do have to say that I found something better that I use now. I use Healthy Sexy Hair's Soy Tri-Wheat Leave-In Conditioner. It smells great and really leaves your hair feel like virgin hair and I bleach my hair blonde! Doesn't get much better than that!
  5. With all due respect, I have to completely disagree with you. CG Lashblast is my HG mascara, even over some of my higher end mascaras! I've never liked a d/s mascara before this one. I, personally, love love love how big the brush is! My lashes are long and thick, but this mascara really makes my lashes pop! It lengthens and volumizes beautifully. I can't say enough about how much I love the bristles on this wand. I love how they are shorter bristles, I can get my lashes in the brush beautifully. But I hate the big mascara heads on other brands. I can't get my lashes into the other big brushed wands b/c the bristles are so long. It's just this one that works for me. I have even tried the Maybelline One on One (I thing that's what it's called) and the brush head is much smaller, but the bristles on the wand are too long for me to get my lashes into them. So that one will go into the back of the drawer. It just left my eye lashes spidery and thin. My thick, long eye lashes look like I have next to nothing for lashes. Totally hate that look! I love heavy mascara, and if I can't get it from my one mascara, then I will keep looking. I don't mix and match mascaras. But that is why CG Lashblast is my HG mascara. I'm sorry that it didn't work for you. It's a shame you can send it to me! But it's not hygenic.
  6. I love the cologne that David Beckam has out now! It smells soooo fabulous. I got it as a sample from one of my Ulta or Sephora orders and I fell in love with it! So much so, I purchased it in a gift box that I got a full sized cologne and a full sized after shave for $80 through Macy's or Nordstroms, not sure which. But I gave it to hubby for Xmas. He loves it, too! Good thing b/c he has enough to last a couple years, if not longer! LOL Should be interesting to smell his new fragrance. I don't know if I can get it locally or not. If not, I hope Ulta or Sephora has his newest fragrance as a sample item.
  7. That is so funny that you are ticklish on your waterline! LOL I'm not ticklish there, like I said before, it just makes my eyes water. I think I would rather be ticklish than to have my eyes water. The eyes watering only makes waterlining that much more difficult when the area is wet and now doesn't want to have the product stick onto the waterline. I usually have to wait till my eyes quit watering so I can finish my eye makeup.
  8. After reading this, I would definitely say that I am cool. Guess that's why I wear cool in Revlon Color Stay and neutral in Clinique. I don't live anywhere near a MAC counter, but through all the reviews and such that I read, it sounds like the MUA don't do a whole heck of a lot in being friendly or helpful! I find that the CSR for MAC are very helpful and are very kind. They don't try to rush you, even though they are busy. They are there to answer every last question you may have! When I ordered a foundation online, I immediately doubted myself and called the CSR's and they suggested what other color to purchase and they got it sent out to me for free! You would think that I would have tried these so far, but haven't. Maybe I'll make a point to use it this week.
  9. As long as you are happy about the way you look, then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks! You have to be happy with you. When you love yourself, others have the option to love you, too! I think you are beautiful and very curvy. That's not a bad thing at all! I consider myself to be a BBW (Big Beautiful Woman). I don't love it and I know it's due to medical problems, but until I can love myself, it makes it hard for others to love me in the meantime. Just have fun with your friends and don't worry about what others think! You are much more beautiful than average!
  10. I agree that there are alot of videos and books out there and that you don't have to go to makeup school in order to become a makeup artist. I know that it certainly doesn't hurt to be licensed! Is the QC school accredited? That would be my big thing. If it's not accredited, I wouldn't give them my time or money. I have a couple of local schools, but I think I would rather do it online at my own pace and schedule. But that's just me. When I went to college, I did it online and took night courses after work, and I prefered the online courses where I could do it at my own pace, but I did get a better grade going to class vs online. Online I got a B+ and in class I got A's. So, I think I can handle online classes.
  11. I would take Tinted Moisturizer. I would either take the UD TM or NuSkin Beneficial Tinted Moisturizer. Both have great coverage and high SPF. I fry in no time! I can always use colored pencils to help apply blush, e/s, eyeliner, lipliner. It works out perfectly!
  12. @Bonnie---It's not hard to follow once you start it. I thought the same thing prior to me starting the lifestyle change. But once I started I was looking up recipes online and asking around at work and just using my own knowledge. I love my veggies, even before my lifestyle change. And even though I'm no longer on low carb, I still love my veggies! I love hard boiled eggs. A sandwich with only one piece of low carb bread or eating a low carb tortialla. I ate lots of salads, especially chicken ceasar salads. I even at low carb ice cream. I loved eating green olives as snacks and pickles for snacks. Lots of string cheese and fruit with cottage cheese. And I had tons of recipes for dinners. It's rather interesting that this thread popped up today b/c I was just thinking about changing my lifestyle again. I've been bed ridden for the past 6-7yrs and the weight has added up. So I need to do something. And just my lifestyle change will make a big difference in how I look and feel. Good luck to those who are getting ready to make the plunge. I think this next weekend that we make a grocery list and change my lifestyle.
  13. Time just for makeup...probably around 40+ minutes. I take my time and make sure it looks just right! That and I have to sit down constantly b/c of my fibromyalsia. My back can't handle standing for longer than about 3-5mins at a time. It's not much fun and it really draws out the process, but I do what I can.
  14. I have to agree that she looks beautiful. But she does look a bit washed out. She does need more color on her cheeks, whether she realizes it or not. Me, personally, wish brides would step out of the natural looks and out of the plain jane box. I think it's boring. But that's just my opinion and wish that more brides would be smiling big with some big colorful lips! I'm not saying to go all out like she's clubbing, but it would be nice to see a bit more color on her and brides in general. My husband said that he would prefer natural, and I told him, I wasn't natural when we got married, but he told me I wasn't over the top, it was just right. And that's all I'm saying. I'm very proud of your first job! BIG CONGRATS!!!! I can't wait til I'm ready to do brides. I'm not wanting Bridezillas, but I would take on natural and someone who wants more than that. You did do exactly what she asked for, and she looks beautiful. Good job!
  15. I have pink undertones and I called MAC on the phone and talked to them about what category I'd fall in, be it NC or NW. They told me that if I wanted to cancel out the pinkness to wear NW, and if I want to keep the pinkness to use NC. In Clinique, I wear a Neutral. So I bought both NC and NW to see what I liked best. I still haven't tried them and I think I got too dark of color, but will have to wait and see. Hopefully it will work out just fine. I do have the liquid tints, one happens to be white and one black and then the primary colors. So I can play with and change up the foundation if I don't like it. If I don't wanna mess with all of that, then I will just exchange them. Keep your fingers crossed that I got the right colors, I hate messing with exchanges.
