  1. Hi Ladies! I have a couple of tricks to resolve this dilemma. First, use a higher end curler that has a silicone insert instead of rubber. Good examples are curlers by Japonesque or Shu Uemura (my personal favorite). This is easier on your lashes and holds the curl longer without as much crimping. Second, when selecting a mascara go for something that is wax based. The heavier wax base will hold your lashes in place, like gel does for hair. Water based mascaras will let out the curl. Almost all waterproof and washable waterproof mascaras are wax based. My go- to is Cover Girl's Remarkable Washable Waterproof Mascara. Cheers, Chris
  2. The Kabuki Brush Hi Everyone, For me, the bronzing brush that stands the test of time is the Kabuki Brush. This brush is tightly packed with soft bristles that have a rounded finish, perfect for buffing, blending, and contouring. I like using Studio Gear Cosmetics' Kabuki Brush. Today, I needed some extra color and contouring to make up for a long night. To achieve this look, use the Kabuki Brush to pick up your bronzer (I used MAC bronzer), tap off the excess and blend in a soft circular motion around the outer lines of your face. Areas to cover for your base: Temples Forehead Around your ear Jawline Blend jawline into neckline Note: Bronze more around your jaw and neckline to achieve a slimmer appearance in your face. Always remember to blend! One you have the base set, you will need to work on the contouring. Cover these areas for the contouring: Run your Kabuki brush from the temple, in a downward angle toward your the halfway point between your mouth and tip of your nose. Slightly dust your nose and chin. You want to emphasize any point on your face that the sun hits most, to give this a natural feel. To finish your look, dab your Kabuki Brush into blush. Today, I used Nars Orgasm. Tap off the excess and dabble the apples of your cheeks with the brush. Use your Kabuki Brush to softly blend into your bronzer. This one brush will have you bronzed, blushed, and ready to rock!

  11. A FABulous Trend Alert First Aid Beauty is a skincare line that has caught my attention. Founded by Lilli Gordan, a long time business and beauty buff, First Aid Beauty, aka FAB is a set of dermatologist-recommended, allergy tested set of solutions for sensitive skin. FAB packaging is direct and to the point. The products say what they do and do what they say. FAB Products are free of harsh chemicals, parabens, phthalates, alcohol, dyes and perfumes. Many of the formulations are targeted to address issues such as eczema and acne. This is a new MakeupTalk favorite. Check out the review on the FAB must have: Ultra Repair Lip Therapy. More information can be found at http://www.firstaidbeauty.com/

  13. Hi Everyone, Here are some photos I took on my Droid last night: Before: After and and And one more after shot The images where I look like I have color were taken in a different room, different lighting. The last image was taken in the same place as the original. I wish I could get the same shot on my own, but I am taking these photos of myself with my camera phone. You can see in the last one that my brows are less sparse and my lashes are thicker. I was not wearing any makeup in any of these photos (unfortunately for me and my viewers). Jane, yes I will continue using Lashem. Lashem says that I will start seeing better results with continued use. I am constantly curling my straight lashes. As a result, I get lots of lashes falling out. This product has conditioned my brittle lashes and given me fuller lashes. Let me know if you have any other questions. Chris
  14. Hi Firefox, I will try to get that done tonight. Its hard to get exactly the same angle because I am taking it with the camera on my phone and it's not an iPhone, so its a lot of as to where my eye is. I took several off centered shots before I got the perfect one of just my eye and brow. I'll try to post tomorrow morning. Thanks, Chris
  15. @ Slinkycat: I did the design free hand. The designs that I posted below are for some added inspiration and example. You can probably find decals at Halloween stores right now. Ultraflesh at Sephora has the stencils below. BTW, I love your Zombie look. Thanks for sharing.
