So I'd say the KVD did not really affect the acne any more or less than other foundations.
  3. I love the KVD Lock-It Tattoo Foundation (liquid)! Last year I had a massive acne problem and was spending nearly an hour putting concealer on all the spots just so I wouldn't feel self-conscious leaving my home (it was REALLY bad). After I bought KVD it drastically reduced the amount of time I had to spend covering blemishes-- it covered so well without being cakey that I had a lot less to cover up after applying the foundation. It is pretty thick though so I normally apply with a damp beauty blender. Now that my skin's improved I mix it with some moisturizer to thin it out a little.

I love the idea of being able to throw a few sheets in my purse along with blotting papers, and not have to worry about lugging around powder, blush, and brushes.

Yes, only Rouges can access the VIB Rouge part of the forum (where the thread is posted). So if you're not Rouge, you won't be able to see the thread. If you are Rouge but not logged in as yourself, you won't be able to see the thread. It is still there right now.
  8. Sadly, no, it's not very exciting. Aside from the free shipping it's pretty much the same as regular VIB.
  9. Oooh! I would love to know what you think about the way they distribute the VIB offers. They only seem to email the offers out to select groups at a time, sometimes staggering the batches of outgoing emails over a week or so. I think it's pretty rare that ALL VIBs ever get the same offer code all at once. Needless to say this causes a ton of frustration when people find out an offer code was sent out but they didn't receive it. I'm guessing it's for logistical reasons (either inventory or website capacity) but would love to hear your take.
  10. wow, totally brilliant! i love the idea of using alcohol to disinfect AND make it dry faster. and why did i never think of using a hair dryer before?! I never take my b.b. on business trips because I don't want a damp sponge hanging around in my luggage breeding bacteria....problem solved!
  11. Yeah, it looks so much bigger in the promotional pic! The small one is still really cute though, I absolutely don't need any more stuff but I almost bought into the promotion just to get the adorable bag!
  12. My first AHA product ever was Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic 10% Moisturizer just this winter. I wish I had started using AHA much much earlier as lately this is the only thing that works to help control my acne! Since then I've found other, low-cost alternatives that work well and are better for oily skin (the PTR is lovely but of a creamy consistency better for dry skin). c. booth (found at Rite Aid) has a nice 10% AHA liquid Alpha Hydrox is great too, I'm using their 14% AHA pads once a week, and the 12%AHA souffle as a spot treatment. (found at Ulta or drugstore.com) Planning on trying Glycolix 20% pads sometime, these can be found on various skincare online retail sites like dermstore.com
  13. I'm surprised at myself for being somewhat successful on my no-buy (so far). The only thing I've purchased is a bunch of soaps and sample fragrances from Pacifica, none of which are on my "ABSOLUTELY DO NOT BUY" list. Yeah the soaps are a bit fancier than what I normally get, but since I don't have a soap problem they sort of go into the "utilitarian" category, like toothpaste. Oh yeah, also got the powder foundation that I needed since my old one only has a tiny bit left around the rim of the pan. Yeah!!! And it HAS been oddly relaxing doing a conscious no-buy. I've been able to sit through the recent sales (drugstore, beauty dot com, etc) without buying any beauty items at all. I did stock up on sunscreen during a sale at the beginning of May, before declaring my no-buy, but again that's sort of "utilitarian" item. @tulosai -- thanks for posting new photos of Darcy and Bingley! They already look so much bigger than the first set! Cute!
  14. Mine finally arrived after sitting around in limbo since the 8th! I was all set to be disappointed in the Zoya until I opened it and got the light beige-y jacqueline which I didn't realize I NEEDED until now! I got the Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia rollerball which, sadly, I already have one. And what are people doing with their Juice lip gloss in Champagne? It's a weird color.... edit: please keep trade requests out of this topic, please -kawaiimeows
  15. Come on guys, please be considerate and use spoiler tags for your Ipsy spoilers. I have avoided the Ipsy thread like the plague but I still know at least three of the things in the bag (which I have NOT received yet) due to these types of incidents.
  16. argh! I was trying to stay away from Ipsy spoilers this month.
  17. I recently switched out my makeup bag and now using the April Ipsy white and pink slim bag. It has: - small pack of Kleenex - lip balm/gloss - usually a Revlon lip butter, pink truffle or juicy papaya - blotting sheets - mini hand cream - small 5g container of Aquaphor for bad skin days, i'll also add a compact powder, concealer, maybe a powder brush thinking of adding Mai Couture blush sheets for really long days at work
  18. ok, so 20 hours after declaring my first ever no-buy for the month of May, it's actually kind of relaxing! Before, I felt almost obligated to endlessly shop online for the best possible deals and spend hours working on optimizing my online shopping carts. Even if I didn't need anything (which has been the case all year!) I still felt like I had to shop due to flash sales or big discounts. Declaring a simple no-buy takes away that feeling of obligation and the exhausting need to shop, shop, shop. As Nancy Reagan recommended, I can just say NO. So far, no-buy = more simplicity and less decision-making, which to me is a huge relief. Of course that's just the first day. The next sale comes around I might be glued to my web browser like normal. But I hope not.

  20. Argh, it's only the 5th of the month and EVERY day I have struggled not to purchase something beauty-related. I think I just have to declare a no-buy for May and not buy anything, not even a $3 Baby Lips, unless I actually run out of something. The only thing I'm close to running out of is my powder foundation, so possibly I might need to buy one in May. But that's IT. For the kittens, I kinda like the idea of naming them Bingley and Darcy myself, especially if one is bouncy and fun, and the other is a tad standoffish. @tulosai, I would LOVE if you shared more piccies of your kittens with us, not only are they totally adorable but it would actually help me with my no-buy! Nothing like kittens pics to distract you from "needing" to buy makeup.
