  2. I might have to actually take this month's box. I have plenty of lip scrubs and balms, but I can't resist. Modern Beauty box, here I come!

Excited for the Ruby Wing, BP Oil, & Dr. Brandt I'm getting the same box! Yay Dr. Brandt!!!

Their products are amazing and you get very generous samples when you order from their site (I got 3 samples plus an additional 3 in a little makeup bag with my last order - all what I would classify as travel sized).

The pot is my favorite of the two. I think I have a slight Besame crush! According to Google, this is what the "matchstick" lipstick samples look like.

The NARS code is much more my speed. Oh, boo. I should have scrolled down to read the fine print. The Caudalie Vino serum thing sounds nice though.
  10. Meh. I think I'm gonna skip this month. I have 2100 jules, but I don't love any of the colors or products. I am glad that they released a teal with silver microshimmer though.

I understand it from a business perspective too, but they really shouldn't have said they were doing it for added flexibility. I want to see what their updated skip feature looks like, since it's so freaking simple now. I'm beginning to think that their focus groups must be exclusively Julep employees. *rolls eyes and sighs heavily*

While I was aimlessly wandering around, there was a couple tables set up with Caudalie stuff and a couple ladies representing the brand. I had some time before free parking ran out, and let them fix me up. Turns out you got a cute little bag with samples in it if you let them sample stuff on you, yay! I did end up liking the 3 new products the lady used on me. (Vinosource sorbet hydratante, Vinosource S.O.S, and Regenerating concentrate) She recommended if I were only to buy one of these today, to get the sorbet to help with my flushing issue. The samples in the bag are 1 oz shower gel, 1 oz hand and nail cream, large foil of Vine body butter, 1 oz makeup removing cleansing water, vial tube of Vinosource SOS, and vial tube of Vinosource riche. And then she made me an additional sample of the energizing concentrate and more SOS serum, she even made sure she was giving me enough to tie me over until I got paid again to get these full size. The bag is cute, and a nice size-- 1 1/4 of a dollar bill in length, just shy of a dollar bill high. I've tried the brand before, but not these products, and I was impressed highly with them. I walked in with makeup on and a beet red face. After she cleaned my makeup off, and put the products on, by the we were done talking and making samples up, my face was so clear and even toned, and felt fantastic! I didn't even need makeup on the rest of the day! And on an unrelated to Caudalie note... I finally tried my Jack Black hair/skin oil sample (the 10 oil..only oil in the line I believe). It is also fantastic! I put some in my damp hair and clipped it up to do my makeup...by the time I let it down, it wasn't heavy feeling, greasy..just perfectly hydrated and soft/smooth. I thought the Agave oil was my HG hair oil, but I think this knocks that down a notch! I can't wait until next payday to buy more of it! Also, tried the new Agave lip healer by Bite in store today. Man, you guys were right on that crappy packaging! The one they had out for sampling was about 1 minute from bursting open on the sides. It was alright, but I thought it had a very unpleasant smell. My lips were still slightly chapped/flaky after a few hours. The Bite honey lip lacquer completely healed up my lips after two applications tonight though, it has manuka honey in it. I do recommend that stuff. Wow! Those are some big samples! I wish the Sephoras near me had events.

Like others, I prefer having the ability to skip a month whenever I want to having to "earn" a skip. Same here, been skipping every box since the Jazz collection, I'm too lazy to deal with calling. I like stocking up on sales for the nail polish remover pads, but that means giving them my new debit card info, which I don't want to do... Sooo, I just skip. Lol. I don't like the makeup/beauty angle they are running now, and I feel the polish collections are lacking since they started makeup (most months anyways). I also do not support their use of DHL shipping, I refuse to support that company! I think an email should have been sent out about the changes on skipping. (or was there one I just didn't get?) I don't know about other people, but I don't like talking on the phone. I have social anxiety disorder and much prefer doing things online to over the phone. I'm also a full-time student and single mom, so making a phone call during normal business hours just doesn't work for me. I really like how you can do everything (or at least everything I've had to do so far) online for Birchbox and wish Julep would do the same. I agree about the nail polishes. They seem to be spreading themselves too thin and forgetting that they are, first and foremost, a nail polish company. I haven't wanted to use regular nail polish since I started wearing Incoco nail strips regularly last spring, so I haven't really paid much attention to their nail polishes. I would still buy their nail polishes if they had colors I really wanted, but the colors just haven't been enticing enough lately. I would prefer if they focused on releasing high quality products and polishes - and preferably no repeat products, like what happened this month with the quick dry drops. I agree about the email. I had to search the blog just to find the post that was being talked about here. Not cool, Julep. Not cool. I really want a cool-toned teal, mint green, and/or turquoise nail polish. If they released one of those - especially if it had a shimmer, holographic or holographic glitter, duochrome, frost, or pearl finish - I would definitely buy a box that month. Slightly off-topic, but still on the topic of nail polish: I've received 3 (I think) Butter London polishes in my Sample Society boxes over the past few months and would love it if they did a subscription service. I have been using the Horse Power Nail Fertilizer, which I received in my most recent box, for the past week and have fallen in love with it. I prefer it to Julep's oxygen treatment and will definitely be buying another bottle.
