  1. It's a pretty heavy foundation and you only need a little bit to cover pretty much anything.. but why don't you try Estee Lauders double wear maximum cover camouflage makeup? I use it for days when my lupus is flaring up and my skin has a bad red rash.
  2. How do I update my wishlist on elfster? I feel like I can only find things on the site that they sell. Is that true? If it is... Here is my wishlist... 1. Josie Maran products (I just started to get into her argan oil for my face). However, I don't really like lotion/creme. 2. Masks - face, hands, lips 3. Waterproof mascara 4. Any good black eyeliners 5. Products for lips that help with chapped lips or to make your lips soft and nice for winter weather. Brands I like: Tom Ford, Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Dr. Jart (for skin care), Becca, ELF, Revlon and Estee Lauder.
  3. However when I did it, it was not on elfster. I wonder if it was 2 years ago that I participated? Could be. That being said, how do I find the elfster signup. Sorry! I'm confused lol
  4. I would like to take part. I hope I am not too late. I did this last year (I think it was last year) and LOVED IT!!!
  5. I loved when I did secret santa 2 years ago with MUT. Can I still participate?
  6. I really like Guerlain's lipsticks with the mirror. I've always wanted to get one but I don't have access to a counter by me so I could pick out a good shade I'd use all the time. Anyone have any rec's? My favorite lipstick of all time is Chanel's Boy. Something in that range of colors would be amazing. Anyway, I like the cutesy packaging of Tony Moly. I also like some of Too Faced packaging. In the drugstore I've always thought Loreal has nice packaging.
  7. I am going to go return quite a few things this weekend. I bought tatcha's cleansing oil and rice powder buffer and I've been kind of afraid to try it again since my skin went nuts. I may try it again before I return it.. but honestly I've been using a sample of Purity by philosophy and really like it. I went back to my double wear and don't think the nars foundation is a good match for me. I'll probably try it all one product at a time before I return it. I did get a small sample of the Tatcha stuff before and tried it and everything was great. I really liked it. Perhaps what happened to my skin was caused by the Rimmel. My face is totally clear now. Who knows! All that matters is it's feeling better.
  8. The eyeshadow palette has caught my eye. I haven't purchased anything but I may go look.
  9. I am like a foundation junkie... but truthfully... the best foundation in the world is Estee Lauders Double Wear. I like the regular type too. Other "good" ones ... - YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation - CoverGirl's whipped foundation (I think this is discontinued). Double Wear has tons of different colors so go into a store if possible and get color matched. What are you looking for in a foundation btw? What is the coverage on this foundation? Characteristics of it?
  10. The blushes look like Tarte. Could it be Tarte?
  11. I was thinking the Lorac Pro (1) may work for the eyes. The Garnet, Gold. She has white in her waterline too.
  12. I seem to remember getting a Bobbi Brown palette for her 20th anniversary (I think) with tons of lip sticks in it.. and there were lots of brownie colors that you are looking for in it. See if you can find one to purchase (maybe e-bay?) if you like it. This type of product also really lends itself to be able to mix.
  13. How about Urban Decay's Grind House? I find this works beautifully. UD is having a friends and family sale right now.
  14. Thank you ladies, both for your reply. So I took some medicine for my face, once last night and then again in the morning (antihistamine). I also iced my face and then put on a steroid cream and in select spots an anti-itch lotion. I know it seems like a lot but it worked wonders. I woke up with a much calmer face. It was red for sure, but overall felt much better. I ended up wearing Estee Lauder - double wear. It actually felt nice on my skin.. believe it or not. I love it.. I'm really not sure why I try and venture away from it.. and get lured in by other foundations. Honestly for me its the longest lasting, perfect finish.. best color and has awesome coverage. I still don't know what happened to my face. I feel kind of bad.. that I went out and spent over $500.00 on makeup and I can't even use the majority of it. How do you feel about returning makeup to Sephora? What about organic/natural makeup? Does it work? Any favorite brands? Cutting down on chemicals of course limits the risk of a systemic or localized facial reaction, but how does the makeup hold up? I loved that Physicians Formula powder, I've never seen something like that but I really like the idea of it. I may have to go to the store tonight. Where is Physicians Formula sold ?
  15. Hey Ya'll, Lately I have been back on a makeup kick. I am embarrassed to say I've probably spent almost $1000.00! YIKES! Anyway, I started out looking for a nice super long lasting, fullest coverage possible foundation. I heard a lot of good things about Rimmel's Long Lasting - 25 hour foundation and primer. I bought both of them.. and had been using both for a few days. I first noticed that my skin felt itchy but I didn't put it all together that it was the foundation. Then I accidentally was shaving some peach fuzz hair on my face and gave myself razor burn on my chin. Yuck! So then today, I was uncomfortable all day. My skin felt itchy, sensitive, and kind of swollen but it looked really red and gross so I felt like I had to cover it up. I put on Dior star and went out to lunch and to the mall. I stopped at Sephora, dropped a bomb of money and came home wanting to try it. Soo... I washed my face with the new Tatcha oil cleanser.. and then put on the new Nars foundation - All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. OMG, when I went to take all of this off my face looked HORRIBLE... and felt even worse. I'm not kidding I felt like I just got stung by like 50 bees in the face. It's itchy, red, hot, hurting, and just is so angry at everything! I don't want to go to work tomorrow with nothing on my face because I'll look terrible. But I don't know what to do... makeup wise. I'm a doctor so I know what to do for the rash, but as for the makeup side of it... what can I use that won't make things worse?
