  1. I have gotten Mantry in the past but wasn't happy with the value. I just received the first Melissa Joulwan Quarterly box a few weeks ago and really liked it. It's a paleo/clean eating box. It had several items and a really nice paring knife. Love the Batch boxes (Nashville, Charleston, Memphis). Hatchery is okay. It's more samples than full-size.
  2. I have always loved Glossybox, but Boxycharm is knocking it out of the park right now.
  3. I like Starbox as well. Their color selection can be a little bright, but you win some and you lose some with sub boxes. I also like e.l.f. Beauty Bundle. It runs around $26 every two months. I know some people say they can buy the items cheaper when e.l.f. runs a sale, but they have sent me some really great stuff I would not have otherwise purchased for myself. Glossybox is an all-time favorite though they don't send solely makeup.
  4. I got mine today, too. Very happy to see a little color in there! Here are my swatches though I believe the colors are the same. The pink has a lot of sparkle. Love it. And they go on so smooth.
  5. Wantable is my current favorite for full-size makeup. And I'm definitely preferring Glossybox over Birchbox these days for overall skincare/makeup samples.
  6. Glossybox Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara. I love this mascara so much. I don't know that I will ever go back. I don't even try other mascara samples I receive anymore. Birchbox Miss Jessie's. Love their curly hair products! Evologie. Love this line for acne-prone skin.
  7. I think the Lip Tattoo is supposed to be green looking at it online...but not chunky-green like that. That's a little disconcerting. http://www.amazon.com/Hard-Candy-Tattoo-Freshening-Gloss-167/dp/B009ZV3URU
  8. A lot of the subscription boxes you are promoting on your site already have affiliate programs available. A few perks of being an affiliate: You earn a monetary commission when someone signs up through your link as opposed to points or free boxes Some tell you about the spoilers/upcoming sales before they go public Some provide you with unique coupon codes for your readers For some bloggers it is a toss-up however. It looks like you are using your referral links in those posts on your site. You would need to replace those with the affiliate link to earn cash. It is sometimes a matter of preference; money or free product from your referrals. Most affiliate programs don't put you under pressure to promote. Most. It is also very rare to be kicked out of one unless you are inactive for a very long time.
  9. This will be my first box. I'm very excited! The powder looks great.
  10. What a bummer, @ajkballard. I emailed about the dupes I received in December and they replaced with them with different dupes. I didn't bother emailing a second time. If January's box doesn't blow it out of the water, I think I'm going to put this one on hold for awhile and replace it with another on my list. I sooo loved the first two boxes but if I wanted dupes of the featured items, I would go buy them. That's kind of the subscription box way: discover new stuff, go buy more.
  11. This month is the first I have seen discounts for Wantable, but watch their Facebook Page. I have seen a couple deals posted since Black Friday but they haven't been made public and it wasn't a coupon code. You had to click through the link they shared on FB to receive the discount. I don't see any still up there now. https://www.facebook.com/Wantableco
  12. They were quick to respond. I'm not giving up on this one. I do love the brands and the value.
  13. I was really, really happy with my October and November boxes...which I suppose was a good thing since two of the four items I received in my December box today were duplicates (Fleur't bralette and Coobie hipster). I'm really bummed about that. My box didn't include any of the spoilers, which happens sometimes. My other two items were a pair of hipsters ($9) and a cleavage cover in a sparkly raspberry color (not something I'd wear). I placed an email into customer service to see if there was a mix-up. This is only the third month of the Intimates sub. I would hate to think we are receiving dupes already. I am really glad they have a return policy.
  14. None in that price range come to mind. Even Nerd Block and Booty Bin are $20+ per month. Would a snack sub work? There are several available at that price point.
