  • One Interesting Fact About Me
    Array
  1. This is directly from the post: Glosses available at the etsy shop “FierceMagenta” Luna Green Golden Peach Diamond Cluster $9.69 each
  2. I got my box today. I live about 30 mins from Mt. Juliet so I guess that's why mine come so quick. If anyone wants to know what I got in my box, let me know and I'll post a spoiler picture
  3. I wish the majority of this line's lipsticks weren't lustre finish :/ I'm not too big of a fan of them but these colors are so pretty!
  4. I've been pressing loose shadows and micas for awhile now and have a method I like to use that works for me. I read that a few of you use the TKB Trading Press It Binder and do not like it, but I haven't had a problem with it. The way I press my shadows is to take a 26mm pan (I believe) and put a few drops of 90% alcohol in the bottom- just enough to cover the bottom. I then place 4 drops of the binder in the pan and mix the two together. The two products have a different viscosity so they won't want to mix perfectly, but as long as there isn't a big drop of binder in the middle of the pan, you're good. I then place one scoop (I buy the small scoops from TKB) of product in the pan and mix it around with the alcohol/binder mixture. It will be crumbly, but that's okay. From there on out I use ONLY alcohol to finish the rest of the pan. Alternate putting a scoop in and mixing that with alcohol to get a paste-like concoction. When I feel I have enough product in the pan to make one eye shadow (it takes way more loose powder than you would think), I drop the pan a few times on the table to release any air bubbles. After it has dried partially, I take a quarter and a piece of fabric or paper towel and press, and voila! A pressed shadow! As far as storage goes, I use different palettes. Coastal Scents, TKB Trading, Z Palettes, various Etsy sellers and even homemade ones will do that trick. The one pictured below is from Coastal Scents and it holds 28 pans. I use the bead storage containers from the craft store to store my loose mica powders from TKB Trading Most of these colors are just mica from TKB Trading but some of them are custom colors, some are pressed glitter and some are NYX Ultra Pearl Mania loose shadows. If you want to know the name of any of them just ask me
  5. I want this palette so bad but due to ColourPop releasing their new spring stuff, I am broke as a joke right now, so onto the wishlist it goes! I am also wanting to get the Natural Matte palette..and the Semi-sweet Chocolate bar.. eyyyyyiiyii!!
  6. I subscribed to BB last night..I am so excited to get my first box!
  7. The ColourPop super shock shadows in the shades "Liberty" (true tin-foil silver) and "Get Lucky" (true gold) are amazing and look very metallic and foiled and are only $5 a piece
  8. My bf and I broke up on Christmas Eve...I feel like such a b!&$% but sometimes things just don't work out... so ready for a fresh start. My b-day is January 31st. When's yours?
  9. I am planning on doing this with my Urban Decay Naked Basics. I've already hit pan on 3 of the 6 shades so I might as well finish that bad boy up. I will report back with my progress and since I've already hit pan on half the palette, I will start thinking of another palette to pan after that one.
  10. Best: Lorac Mega Pro palette, Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation, Read Techniques beauty sponge, Urban Decay Vice 3 palette, MAC Pro Longwear concealer, Makeup Geek eye shadows and blushes, TheBalm Cindy and Mary Lou-manizers Worst: Maybelline Fit Me foundation, Urban Decay Vice Limited palette, J Cat beauty Fantabulous lipsticks, Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipstick in "Agatha"
  11. You look to have what they call almond shaped eyes. Same eye shape as me.
  12. The coastal scents hot pots are quite nice, I think. You may get one here and there that isn't super great quality but for $1.99 (they always have these on sale for $.99) they are worth trying. I actually own every Makeup Geek eye shadow, including the new foiled ones and they are my go-to now. Super pigmented, blendible and so affordable! There are one or two that aren't my favorites but every brand is going to have shadows that aren't perfect. MUG all the way. Another company you may want to look into is Inglot. They sell individual shadows for $7 or $8 dollars and they are phenomenal!
  13. I have tried the Younique 3D mascara and I honestly don't like it. It is definitely not worth $30!
  14. I've ordered from them recently (a couple of months ago) but I've ordered from them many times before. I don't buy any of their MAC stuff because LE MAC stuff doesn't really appeal to me and I don't want to have to worry about it being authentic or not. The things I have bought from them include OCC lip tars, sugarpill loose eyeshadows, Pop Beauty items and a lot more. I've never had a problem with anything being old or fake. I will say though that some of the stuff is beat up and looks worn. I've received palettes before that are a little dinged up and I don't even buy the items with "no box". Their shipping rates are ridiculous as well. You have to spend $100 to receive free shipping which is quite high and their shipping rates are so high that you might as well find $100 worth of stuff to make it worth your while. That is my #1 complaint with them.
