  6. Drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up.Put a sticky note on your computer to remind you to drink up.Carry a water bottle with you in your bag.Keep water next to your bed when you go to sleep at night.Keep water at your desk at work.Drink before, during, and after exercise. If exercising for longer than 60 minutes, consider a sports drink.Sun ProtectionSun protection is the best way to prevent aging for young skin. You must use sunscreen every single day of the year, not just when it's sunny. At the beach, people often focus on the SPF number, but it's really about applying sunscreen generously and reapplying often (at least every two hours),. If you have sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin and require a sunscreen that dries to a matte finish, use a formula with zinc oxide. For normal to dry skin, us a chemical-free, all-mineral formula, If you err on the size of lazy, dusting on an SPF-infused mineral powder onto the face is a fast and easy way to instantly protect the skin from the sun. 7. Skincare During Cancer Treatment Chemotherapy, radiation and other cancer treatments can create side-effects that are tough on your skin. The most common Skin Issues related to cancer treatment include: Dry / Itching Skin Face Rash Radiation Burns Hand-Foot Syndrome Fingernail Issues Dark, Puffy Under-eye Issues All too often, these skin issues are unexpected and sometimes are left untreated by people who just assume that "it's just part of the deal"... but it's not! WHAT YOU CAN DO: BE AWARE: Being aware of the potential skin issues is half the battle. Everyone has heard about potential nausea and hair loss, but most people are unaware of what may happen to their skin. A 2010 study by Supportive Care in Cancer found that nearly a third of cancer patients reported unexpected Dry Skin and Skin Irritation. Simply by being aware of the potential side effects, people battling cancer can minimize the psychological stress often caused by these skin issues. PREPARE: A good preventative regimen of gentle, pure skincare can help avoid or minimize many of the side-effects of treatment. Regimens begun after skin issues have started can be quite effective as well, but it's always best to start a good regimen before the appearance of any skin issues. WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN SKINCARE DURING CHEMO: 1. Gentle & non-drying Much of the skincare on the market is designed to promote younger-looking skin, and one of the main ways to accomplish youthful skin is to exfoliate, peel & strip away the top layer of skin cells. Many skincare lines contain alpha-hydroxy, acids, and other agents designed to peel away skin cells. When you are undergoing chemo, heavy exfoliants and harsh scrubs are not appropriate. 2. Hypo-allergenic Chemo can play games with your nervous system. You may develop strange reactions to things that have never bothered you before. The last thing you want to do is bombard your skin with new potential allergens. 3. Avoid harsh chemicals, dyes, or perfumes Your average skincare is designed primarily by a marketing team. They care mostly about what products will look good on TV and will appeal to the senses. To that end, they load their skincare with perfumes, dyes and other harsh chemicals. During chemo, you should avoid those perfumes, dyes and heavy metals that can cause irritation and other adverse reactions. 4. Moisture & hydration are key Some skincare is heavy with drying agents and "anti-oil" ingredients - included to prevent shiny, oily skin. During chemo, skin tends to be dry without any help, so look for skincare that delivers moisture, rather than stripping it away. >> Tips: Use Fucoidan to support cancer treatment

  9. Hi I'm Leah. I'm a blogger/youtuber and I do beauty reviews, campaigns and collaborations. I have been sent a lot of beauty/skincare tools over the last couple of years. Some I liked and some, not so much! (I have a derma roller story that's scary) My favorite beauty tool by far is the jade/rose quartz roller. I just absolutely love how they look, feel and all of their amazing benefits. They're pretty awesome in blog and Instagram posts as well. Which is never a bad thing! haha I love these rollers so much, that I decided to sell my own. I'll share a couple of video reviews/tutorials on my Miss Pettigrew Jade and Rose Quartz Roller Set down below. As some of you know, my set is so popular that it was sold out for the last few weeks (boo!) But it is NOW back in stock! Yay! And I decided to do a SUPER SALE for those who have messaged me and have been patiently waiting for them to come back in stock. Shop SALE HERE: https://amzn.to/2JpNit7 (Free 1 or 2 day shipping with Amazon Prime) I would also really love to know what your favorite beauty tool is. I'm kind of obsessed with beauty tools at this point and I'm always looking to try new tools. Maybe you'll give me the idea I need for my next product!
  10. The face is a canvas for makeup, and good skincare will keep your canvas in tip-top condition. Laura Mercier suggests five very simple steps for women of all ages to follow religiously in order to keep facial skin smooth and glowing, with or without makeup! Step 1: Never wear makeup to bed! Having grown up with some women who wore their makeup to bed, Laura has seen the toll it can take on the skin. Good cleansing can clear away a good deal of makeup, but Laura suggests also using a makeup remover especially for the eyes—one that conditions the eye area's delicate skin while removing all traces of makeup. Step 2: Cleanse thoroughly, morning and night, with a gentle cleanser or cream that doesn’t contain perfumes or harsh artificial additives. By cleansing, you'll eliminate dirt and clear your pores, letting skin breathe. Step 3: Rinse very well every time you wash your face. Splash, splash, splash the water over your entire face and neck until all remnants of the soap and makeup are down the drain. Step 4: Use an alcohol-free toner if you have oily skin to gently clear away excess oil and smooth skin. Laura says she "is against anyone using alcohol on their skin to get rid of oil." Alcohol is harsh and dries skin, which then causes oil glands to overcompensate by producing more oil. "Many women don't realize that skin can be oily and dehydrated at the same time," Laura explains. "If you've wiped all the oil away, your skin may appear dry while your oil glands are activating under the skin and ready to compensate for the dryness." continue

  13. Hello everyone, as the title suggests, I am wondering what night cream I should start using. There are so many products out there, it is impossible to research them all to find out what might work best to try. So I am looking for advice from you girls and open to any suggestions of what works best for you. I will begin by saying that I am 20 years old (female) and I have never used a night cream before, but realise it will be a good step to add into my daily routine. What I am looking for is a product with antioxidants to eliminate the daily stress and toxins that the skin might have picked up. I also favour products that are enriched with vitamins. I need something that works to keep skin clear as sometimes my skin is okay, but other times I can break out badly (not even sure why, my skin is pretty random). I am concerned that if I overuse a product (i.e get in a pattern of using it every day), that my skin will rely on it to stay healthy. I like the idea of maintaining radiant skin and products being an addition to this that compliment it and my skin won't misbehave if I end up missing it out a night or so. I have tried a few acne prone treatment products and in some cases found my skin worse - maybe it was too harsh as I have delicate skin - or maybe it was my skin getting used to it, who knows, but it has put me off a bit. I prefer products with fewer chemicals and that is a lot more natural based. I would choose water-based products because I feel I am less likely to break out over oil-based ones, whilst hydrating my skin. My skin type has always been on the drier side, but it doesn't bother me a lot because it feels nice after using just a drop of moisturiser. I always use highly hydrating moisturiser and let that get to work. The product that is standing out to me is the Revaléskin Night Cream. What are your reviews/opinions on this particular product if you've tried it? I particularly like the fact this product contains CoffeeBerry whole fruit extract, which protects the skin cells from free radical damage as I am guilty of going tanning now and again. At this present time, it would be important for me to have this in a product for me (whether it is in a night cream or of separate usage). I don't mind investing in good products if it is going to make a difference in my overall health and appearance. However, I don't want to spend a lot of money if it isn't worth all the hype and if there are similar products out there to try first. Thank you for taking your time to read and reply.

  17. Skin concerns describe a condition or occurrence outside of your skin’s natural moisture levels i.e. acne, wrinkles & fine lines, dehydrated, sensitivity, dullness, uneven tone, hyperpigmentation. The best way to identify your skin concerns is to think about what struggles you have had with your skin consistently over the past 3 months. Sensitive Skin Skin sensitivity is a complex skin concern that can be caused by many reasons. Some people have naturally sensitive skin, some may have sensitivity as a result of other skin conditions such as rosacea, allergies, side effect from a product, etc. Skin reacts to common ingredients so is prone to inflammation and irritation. Skin is often dry. When irritated, skin can be red and patchy, redness spots, prone to rashes and irritation, may feel itching or burning. Avoid products with alcohol and fragrances as this can often trigger irritation. Find out what triggers are and avoid them. Skin tends to burn easily and has a tendency for redness or rosacea. TIPS: use gentle, low pH cleansers without harsh surfactants, avoid skincare products that contain fragrance or alcohol. Try using a konjac sponge to cleanse the skin. It is non-abrasive and can be used alone with water to gently cleanse the skin to reveal a radiant completion. Soothing, anti-inflammatory ingredients are beneficial. Regular application of gentle, hydrating skincare products and sun protection is essential for the care of sensitive skin. Product keywords: Calming, soothing, gentle, sensitive, ultra-sensitive Product ingredients: Aloe vera, chamomile, cucumber, green tea, honey, oatmeal Acne Acne can manifest as blackheads, whiteheads, cystic acne, closed comedones, or some combination of the above. Acne can be caused by many factors i.e. genetics, hormones (pregnancy, menstrual cycle, hormonal birth control), climate, product sensitivities, etc. Acne often occurs in conjunction with other skin concerns i.e. sensitivity and hyperpigmentation are common additional concerns for acne sufferers. TIPS: Gentle care, patience and consistency will balance any type of acne. If you only have one blemish every once in a while it is not considered acne but should still be gently treated with a spot treatment. Using an entire line of anti-acne products can be harsh on the skin. Start with an essence or serum designed for acne while keeping the rest of your routine optimized for other skin concerns. Product keywords: Trouble, blemish, pore, clear, tea tree, spot, BHA Product ingredients: Tea tree, honey, propolis, snail secretion filtrate, clay, charcoal, aloe vera To learn more, click here https://www.ecobeautylife.com/skin-concerns/

    Glass Skin

Hello guys, So there's this trend going around which is called "glass skin" it originated from Korea. Basically is it smooth, clean, translucent skin - I would say this trend is not new as such as this look has been popular for a long time just with a different name to it. I know some people may not like the look of this as it might look like basically sweaty and oily face - but I also see how it appeals to people because who wouldn't like having clear and smooth skin like a baby face. I just want to know what you guys think of this? I have attempted the glass skin, by all means you don't need to watch it but all love and supported would be appreciated! Thank you and hope you guys are having a lovely day!
