  2. I recently chopped off like, 8 or so inches of my hair because it was SO DAMAGED from bleaching and dyeing and just me not taking care of it very well. So now I've got this (pretty adorable) self inflicted bob cut. Not a problem, right? Wrong! I'm getting married in 15 months and the theme? Lord of the Rings. It's high fantasy, so my goal is to make it as nature-y, flowy, and elf-y as I can (love the elves). So obviously I was trying to go for looooong flowy hair that's pretty reminiscent of the elves and their elegant, natural, wavy style. So knowing that, I'm aware I can't possibly get my hair like halfway down my back in less than 15 months (sadly), but I'm still rooting for that style for my wedding hair. What I'm basically asking is what would be the best option for getting that look for my wedding hair, with having to wear a wig as more of a last resort option. I'm not too fond of wearing wigs, as they never really stay on my head without itching like crazy and looking unnatural. (Plus it's an outdoor wedding in October in the southern USA so that wind and possible heat with a wig will just...not work out too well for me) Any help and input is very appreciated!!! <3
  3. Every wedding is different and everyone wants to look their best. But there are a few things that should never be worn to any wedding, no matter how informal, formal or uniquely themed it may be. What works for a church wedding might not be appropriate for a back yard wedding or vice versa. Here are some wedding tips on how to be the perfect wedding guest. 1. Solid White Dresses It is not your wedding, so why are you dressing like a bride? It is not like that you can not wear any white dress, white prints and white accents are fine just stay away from anything overtly bridal, especially white lace. 2. Denim Jeans come in a variety of styles and for some more casual weddings a pair of nicely fitted jeans in a clean wash without any holes or distressing can be fine, especially if you really dress up the rest of your look. Making denim work for a wedding is tough. If you are on the internet looking for tips on what not to wear to a wedding, formal denim styling may be a bit beyond your skill set at this point. Best just to forget about it all together. 3. Head-to- Toe Black You are going to a wedding so need to lighten up! It is not like that you cannot wear black, but there are so many other choices to choose from. If you still insist on wearing black, at least you should make an effort to liven it up with some less somber accessories or with a 4. Sexy Shorts Low-cut, tight and short all at the same time is just not suitable for a wedding. You need to say far from it. Sexy elements are fine at a wedding but limit yourself to one at a time. The bride may not be able to pick you out in every picture by the neon color of your dress. This is not the time for hot pink, electric blue or lime green.
  4. Hello all! I am getting married in a few weeks and have been spending the last couple of months desperately seeking the perfect gel manicure color for my wedding! With gel, I tend to find that the pinks are either too white, too sheer, or too bubblegum pink. I am looking for a color that is a light, non-white pink with a little bit of sparkle or shimmer element to it. My dress is off white so I am concerned that anything too white may clash. Any suggestions? I am willing to mix and match and add top coats etc! Just really want the manicure to last through my honeymoon so don't want to have to use regular polish. I like things like Essie Fiji (may be a tad too pink for me) or OPIs Mimosas for Mr. and Mrs. Let me know if you have any ideas!

  6. Hi everyone! I haven't been to MUT in a very long time, but I've returned to ask help picking out my wedding lipstick! I've set up a voting page with 5 different lip looks. My dress is traditional white, and our wedding theme colors are green, coral, and rose gold metallic. My hair will be an apricot color. Here is the poll: http://kristadior.kristardesign.com/2015/02/22/vote-for-my-wedding-look-take-the-poll-lips/ I'll keep the poll up for another two weeks and then move on to 'eye' look with the lip that was chosen by the people! Thank you! -Krista
  7. Hi there, I'm hoping someone on this site can help me out. I'm in possession of bridesmaid dresses from the wedding of my bestie. Plus 1 additional because of a crazy shipping fiasco that prompted us to buy a dress in the same color that was a similar cut on the top; we thought we were going to have to have someone remake it to as close as possible to the rest with about a week's notice. They are champagne colored with sweetheart necklines and rushing on the stomach area fading out to the bust. They have a fabric belt with a fabric flower attached as well, and are tea to knee length depending on how tall you are. The skirt has 3 pleats on the front to give it a bit of texture and they also have pockets. The additional dress is long with the top being very similar. There is a slit in the bottom of the dress to about the knee. The skirt lays flatter than the flare of the other dresses, but could possibly be adjusted as you have the floor length fabric to work with - or a maid of honor could always be put in a different dress to stand out a bit from the rest of the bridesmaids. Anyway, I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction for what to do with them. Is there somewhere that we can list them as a bundle? 3 have only been worn the 1 time and the long one and one of the others were never used. I believe the sizes of the 4 are 10, 12, 14 and 16. The long one is a 20. Suggestions on where I can take them for resale or sites to check out to give them a second chance and another bride and her bridesmaids some cute dresses on a budget? I just think it would be so much nicer to bundle them and give a group of ladies that option! I'm in the suburbs of Chicago if that helps. Thanks for your help in advance! *Photos have been cropped to protect the privacy of the other bridemaids ;-)
  8. Hi! Yesterday I uploaded a new empties / products used up video! But the reason that I post this video here is different: I am a bride, my wedding is soon and I'm going to do my makeup myself! So I was trying something out yesterday hihi! Maybe you can take a look and tell me what you think? And if you have some suggestions/tips, let me know! This is the makeup I'm talking about:
