  2. I've recently become more and more invested in makeup but the only problem is I can't get my make up to apply smoothly, especially over my nose. I've tried using a motorised and have a good cleansing routine for my face but when eve I try to put my foundation on it becomes all caky around my nose (I use bare minerals powder) Can anybody suggest anything to stop tis happening.

  7. Hey all! I'm new to the forum and super-excited to chat with you all! I've got a question! So, I have an olive-y skin tone. I tan easily. In BareMinerals, the closest I can get to my shade is Medium-Beige. Clinique is off, and there are a few others that I've tried too, over the years. The thing is, all of the brands I've tried never really perfectly match. They're always just a smidge too pink or red. It's so frustrating because in most light I can get away with it, but in natural sunlight, you can totally tell the difference! Ugh! Can anyone relate? Are there any brands out there specifically for olive-y or skin with a yellower undertone? Or brands that include these tones? Help! This would be like extra-added-super-bonus, but I prefer non-comedogenic products, when possible. Chat soon! <3

  9. Hi everyone! I am not normally acne prone but MAC foundation always breaks me out. I am looking for a full coverage foundation with a flawless finish to hide my pores, fine lines, and dark circles that will not rub off or oxidize. It is hard because I have olive skin which many brands do not cater to. I am a medium olive with yellow undertones. I used to wear Everyday Minerals in medium olive but they discontinued that color. Nars Stromboli was too light for me and also rubbed off on my clothes. I just tried Fenty in 290 and it made all of my imperfections stand out more and also had me looking a little greyish. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
  10. This Foundation is on a whole new level of full coverage. What is your go to foundation??
  11. Hey, I'm totally new to this forum and hoping it'll be a bit more helpful than others I've joined where no one has spoke haha! I've just started studying makeup and was really looking for any kit advice that anyone can give me. Specifically foundation advice, I have a couple of MAC studio sculpt in my personal kit which I love and I have ordered Revlon ColorStay as I've heard amazing reviews about that. So yeah any advice really on other foundations to invest in/affordable ones to build my kit up or any other products you think are a staple product that I should go and get. Thanks in advanced
  12. So about two months ago I was diagnosed with super sensitive skin, acne, and rosacea. My dermatologist told me no more scrubs, no more saliclyic acid (my skin is basically too sensitive to it and it was causing cystic acne), I'm sensitive to silicones (make me break out), and just "switch to non-comedogenic make-up." Luckily my skin is not that red compared to others I've seen, but it I'm just all over rosy. I'm less worried about the rosiness, and wayyyyyy more concerned with my acne and oily skin. My routine consists of the following: -CeraVe Normal to Oily Face Wash -Adapalene Cream (Differin) .1% -EpiCeram emulsion [as my moisturizer] -Persa-gel spot treatment for moderate to severe cystic acne [has lessened since routine/makeup change, but blackheads and such have continued] -Benzyl Peroxide 2.5% cream for skin when needed, but dries me out too much to use too often -Everyday Minerals matte face powder in ivory (1N) + EM concealer when needed My skin gets incredibly oily within two hours (literally what a pool of oil in a pan looks like) with or without make-up on. I was using the Everyday Minerals anti-shine powder, but it made my face feel like it had a bunch of dirt on it once the oil was soaked up into it and reached its saturation point. Blotting papers only solve the problem for about a half hour or so, and it's impossible as a teacher to continually fix my make-up. What can I possibly do??? My skin was so sensitive that the dry to normal CeraVe face wash irritated my skin (I'm guessing Cetyl alcohol because it isn't in the version I use now). Primers that work all seem to have silicones in them Literally, my make-up doesn't stay on longer than two hours. On the weekend I barely wear make-up but it's the same deal - feel like I have to wash my face by mid-morning. Please help!!

  14. Hi all, I need your suggestions. I have very dark black brown spots all over my face. I am looking for good coverage foundation and bought dermocol 208 after checking the reviews. Although i have very fair skin but the color of the foundation is too light and looks white all over the face as paint is applied. As there are very good reviews of the product available, i would like to know if someone can guide me how to use a lighter shade foundation on the skin and particularly how to use lighter shade dermocol suits best on your skin and cover my spots. i would seek your help and recommendations. Thanks in advance
  15. Soooo... I saw all of the hype on YouTube for the 'Silicone Sponge', and decided to make a video review about it! Initially, I liked the Silicone Sponge for applying foundation, but now i'm not so sure. Was it how I was applying it..? If I don't buff out with a beauty blender, my foundation doesn't sit right. Appreciate your feedback!!
  16. Hi everyone. I just bought a mac foundation on ebay, but I don't know if it is real or fake. It was cheap, but the seller has good reputation, so i decided to buy it. This is my first time buying a mac cosmetic, so I don't know how a real mac foundation is supposed to look like. Plus, I don't know where is the expiration date. Should I ask for refund? Do you guys think it is a knockoff?
  17. I‘d really like to buy the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, but beforehand I wanted to find out if it would suit my skin type. I have very dry skin. Most Matte Foundations (for example MAC Pro Longwear or Too Faced Born This Way) make my skin flake and emphasize the dry patches I have on my skin, even if I use tons of moisturizer and primer before applying the foundation. (For reference some foundations that work pretty well on me: Becca Aqua Luminous, MAC Face and Body) So does the foundation suit dry skin? Furthermore I’d love to have some opinions on how much coverage it provides? I do not need much coverage, I don‘t have acne or pimples, just a bit of redness. I also need help with their shade range. Which MAC shade would be the equivalent for NARS Sheer Glow in Punjab? Would be sooo glad if anybody could help me out! Thanks in Advance :-)
  18. Hey everyone! I am a beauty guide for Limelight by Alcone. I've been selling this product for around 2 months now. I tried the product and I fell in love so I had to sign up to sell it. Limelight stands behind their product 110%. If you order and you are not satisfied you have 30 days to return the product and get your refund back in full. We have makeup and skin care products. We have had so many success stories. Our foundation is 50% pigmented while other foundations are around 18% pigmented. I will post some pictures of the products and some information on some of the skin care. Also reply back to this thread and I will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have. All of our products are perfect. Limelight's return rate is less than 1% all over the world. This tells you that the products speak for themselves. Feel free to ask any questions and also feel free to check out my website and place your order. I promise you won't regret it. These products are really worth checking into.
  19. Wanted to share this post about the ELF flawless finish foundation. Sounds like a great one. Has anyone tried it or use it currently?
  20. I have fair skin with yellow-ish undertones. I think it's kind of hard to find foundation that matches that since most of them seem to have red in them. But FINALLY I found something truly awesome: Lumene's Blur foundation. I've been using the 0.5 Fair nude & it fits me perfectly. The problem I'm having now is that I'm out of it. & I don't live in Sweden anymore, where I could obtain it easily. I've been trying to find it on Amazon etc, but I can only find the darker hues. I now live in US & I would really appreciate tips on similar foundation, both hue vise but also with a similar feel as Lumene. I'm looking for something I can preferably find at Sephora or Ulta, that has this same amazing light feel to it (I HATE when foundations makes my face appear dry, then oily & the make up looking caked on) with medium coverage & yellow undertones. Does this excist? Any tips??? All help is appreciated! Love.
  21. Hi, I recently discovered when applying my makeup that one side of my face, my cheeks and neck, become blotchy immediately after applying my makeup. I apply a primer beforehand to try moisturize this area with no luck. It's not dry skin and it makes my makeup look awful then. I've tried multiple different foundations with the same response and different ways of blending (oval brush, stippling brush, beauty blender, hands etc.) Any help on this would be much appreciated!!!

  23. I'd been using Prescriptive's Virtual Matte Foundation (Camelia color) for years and it was discontinued last year. Looking for a replacement - light weight, silky as it's applied, oil control, light to medium coverage (on the medium side). I'm currently trying the new Bobbi Brown Skin Long Wear Weightless and I'm not loving it. Also tried Prescriptives Flawless Foundation and hated it (way too heavy for my taste). Any recommendations would be appreciated
