QOTD Nov 16, 2010: How big is your family?

Do you include extended family when you think of "family"? Do you include people who aren't even "technically" family, but have been around so long that things like Christmas dinner wouldn't be the same without them?

 
I include my extended family-its pretty big, I have lots of aunts and uncles, which lead to lots of cousins lol. I am an only child myself. There are a few close friends of the family that I would consider "family" too. So I guess to answer your question, yes and yes lol

 
I have a humungo fam. Latin families always include extended family as well as far out relatives (grandaunts, second/third cousins). I have two brothers and one sister in my nuclear family and 60 first cousins!
