The Dog Chow Diet and Army Retired

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I was at my local SAM'S CLUB buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, and was in the checkout line when the woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired and have  little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't,  because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care unit with tubes  coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that  it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat  one or two every time you feel hungry.

The food is nutritionally complete so  it works well and I was going to try it again.. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my  story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the  dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an  Irish Setter's ass and a car hit us both.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was  laughing so hard.

Sam's Club won't let me shop there anymore.

Better watch what you ask retired people! They have all the time in the  world to think of crazy things to say.

    • Hello! I still wouldn't give up headphones. I can’t do without music) At my house I made a large audio system with a modern receiver. It gives amazing sound quality. You can visit the site to Compare AV receivers. Do you feel what opportunities open up for music lovers? I even argued with my friends about this. However, they acknowledged my point when they listened to the music of Lindsay Stirling in my home.
    • I have had no problem whatsoever applying false eyelashes (with adhesive) for the past 10 years or so of my life. For some reason within the last month absolutely no matter what product I use (lashes or adhesive) my falsies refuse to stick. I try holding them down and they simply spring off once I remove my fingers. It’s incredibly bizarre. I can’t recall having changed my beauty routine in the last few weeks and my skin is not oily, nor am I using oil based products on my eyes. Does anyone have any idea what’s happening or what I might try to fix it!?
    • How many people - so many opinions. I really like music but can’t use headphones. This puts pressure on my head and my head begins to hurt in an hour. I NEVER saw my friends really high-quality headphones. They always have flaws in sound. Only the option from the recording studio suited me completely. This is a very, VERY expensive option. Therefore, I limited myself to buying a home theater with surround sound and a good audio system in the car.
    • Always welcome, can I help you with something else?
