Below are some acne skin care tips that will help to combat acne; blackheads and pimples.

Go without Cosmetics - Allow the skin to breathe and be able to help the pores unclogged. If a cosmetic is only necessary to use them, which are water based.

No squeezing or picking at the pimples and blackheads - If you do this you risk causing the acne to spread and infection. Nothing looks worse than a pimple that has been squeezed till it’s a bloody scab.

Consume carrots - And you thought carrots just helps with eyesight? Truth is the vitamins A contained in carrots are very healthy for the skin too and can help in the prevention of acne. Plus it’s a good nutritious food to eat.

Take chromium supplements - Chromium, known for helping to lose weight is also an excellent supplement that helps to heal skin infections, such as acne outbreaks.

Pull hair back - Either pull it back with clips or bands or keep a style that doesn’t allow the hair to hit the face. Because the hair is oily, the oil will sit on his face and cause acne.

Take your vitamins - Multi-vitamin helps the body to stimulate the immune system and thus help to fight against all skin infections.

Wash your face two times a day - Use good acne soap. Wash first thing in the morning and again right before going to sleep. Do not wipe or rub vigorously. Your face is gentle, so kind, wash and gently pat dry.

Acne can be cured completely - its called Accutane.

In some places, Accutane is no longer available. However, a generic version may be available - you need to discuss your options with a Dermatologist.

Exercise is absolutely not going to help - excess sweat, and sebum equals clogged pores, black heads and pimples.

Exercise is great - we should all do it. But not to stop break outs.

Stress is related to more breakouts, and since exercising can reduce mental stress it may have a benefitial effect in terms of reducing breakouts for some people?

Little OT rant:

There are so many "natural" & DIY anti-acne tipps/treatments out there, from things that don´t have anything to do with the reduction of the acne-bacteria, inflammation, sebum production (like "drink more water") to the many homemade masks that are supposed to clear your skin and get rid of acne scars

It is well known why acne appears (especially teenage acne), what happens in the skin when someone has acne and what is proven to work as a treatment. The info is out there, so are dermatologists who have years of experience in the treatment of acne....soooo why do we still hold onto all those acne "tipps" that don´t do any harm but mostly waste your time if you have true acne and not just a few pimples?

Really helpful. All the tips you have shared are really good.  Drinking plenty of water and use of Aloe Vera helps a lot to get rid of the acne problem.
