To create this gothic-vampy look you will need the following:
- Black eyeliner pencil
- Lip & Cheek stain
- Black thickening mascara
- Silvery gray shadow
- Dark purple eye shadow
- Lavender eye shadow
- White satin shadow
- Red Lip Stick
- Bronzer
The Skin:
- To create the look above, start out with a cheek stain and blend it upward from the apples of your cheeks. This flush is concentrated more on the cheekbones than the apples of the cheeks.
Recommended Product:
Sephora’s Lush Flush Lip & Cheek Stain
- Bronze the perimeter of our face: along the hairline, at the temples, contour under the cheekbones, and the jaw line.
Recommended Product:
Nars Bronzer in Casino
- Use a white satin shadow (mine had some shimmer to it) to highlight your face and make your skin look pale. Apply the white above your brows, on the bridge of your nose, under the eyes, and 1/3 of the way up on the forehead.
The white shadow will bring your highlighted features forward while giving you the sexy pale sparkle we see in today’s Holly Wood Vampires. The bronzer will allow you to contour your face to a more angular look.
The Eyes:
- Apply a matte primer all over the lid to the brow bone.
Recommended Product:
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
- Apply a silver shadow to the lid. Stop at the crease.
Recommended Product: Use a packing brush to apply this shadow.
- With a blending brush, apply a light lavender shadow halfway into your crease, taking it from the inner corner of your eye to the center of your crease. This will give the darker shadows something to blend into. Use a smaller brush to apply the same lavender on your lower lash line. Take it from the inner corner of your eye to the mid point of your lower lash line.

- With a blending brush apply a dark purple shadow from the outer corner of your eye up into the crease. At the midpoint of your crease, softly blend the color into the light lavender shadow from earlier. Blend softly, back and forth in a windshield motion, followed by soft circular motions to airbrush the edges. Take the same purple shadow and blend it along the lower lash line, stopping at the center of the lower lash line. This will help you to create the famous smoky eyed V-Shape.

Outer V Tutorial
- With a smaller tipped brush use black shadow and create a smaller V inside your outer purple V. This will add depth and drama to your eye. Soften the look with a smudge brush or go back over it with a blending brush.
- Apply black liner to the top and bottom lash lines.
- On one eye, use a black pencil liner to create a gothic design. Here are some examples:
Last but not least, the lips!
- Take your black pencil liner and line your lips. Contour as desired.
- Use a lipstick brush to apply your favorite red lipstick. The lipstick brush is important for this look because it will allow you to blend the lipstick into the black liner and soften the edges.
