I feel ugly without makeup

Recommended Posts

I am the same. These days I see putting on make-up as part of my daily grooming, as in I wouldn't want to see anyone before my shower or brushing my teeth or hair. I would, however, love to have porcelain skin, naturally black eyelashes and brows so that I don't 'need' makeup. But I like putting it on and trying new lipsticks and so on.

But basically, I feel very ugly without it.

I am 58 and have always felt this.

It is very important to remove makeup before going to bed as it can cause extensive damage to your skin during the night.
Our Skin needs to breathe overnight but makeup most makeup is made of oily substances prevents that, as leaving it on overnight clogs the pores which may cause Skin damage like blemishes or blackheads.
A quick way to clean off all your makeup residue, dirt & oil, after a long tiring day, is to wash your face before going to bed.
As Sleep is a restorative time for the skin & if oil glands as well as pores are blocked by the day’s makeup remains, the results can be harmful.
So it’s crucial to lock-down a nightly face washing routine to avoid skin mishaps like clogged pores, blackheads, inflammatory acne, red, irritated skin that could result from wearing makeup overnight.
