What do MAC MA's look into when hiring a new employee?

Hey everyone,

So I had a question for those who know about the process of being hired at a MAC store. What are the requirements? Do you need a portfolio? Do you need to be certified as a makeup artist?

One of my good friends is a manager at MAC and she looks for some experience. She's explained to me that MAC is very fast paced with traffic and products/trends and their workers have to be able to keep up. You don't have to be licensed or in school/graduated from a beauty school to work there. You will most likely have an interview and a second interview where you will apply makeup on a model. They normally pick a look from a magazine for you to do. Let me know if you have any more questions!
