has anybody tried returning an item from an order that was placed using the $25 sephora gift card? i ordered a $24 item, and a $26 item, and want to return the $26 item. (order total is $50, then used a $25 sephora gift card, and paid $25 out of pocket, not including taxes) i'm wondering if i'll get money back, even just $25? thanks!!!

I have a confession ladies...

I'm officially over the half way mark to re-rouging for next year.  *hangs head in shame*

I don't even know how it happened.. I don't feel I've bought all that much so far.  I did just buy the silk'n flash n go hair laser thing though, so that ate up 200 of that running tally.. but still.  It is only mid January for cryin' out loud!  At least last year I didn't re-rouge until like March.

Has Sephora even announced what the "reward" is for re-rouging this year yet?  I hope it is something good.

All you ladies so set on not making rouge again, I commend you.. I apparently have NO willpower..what.so.ever.

Oh, and does anybody know when Nars was supposed to release the new eyeshadow palette with the dual intensity formula?  I think I'm going to need that in my hands, lol.

This is why I love MUT! I am finally among my people.

Someone posted somewhere- maybe the Sephora Rouge thread, a photo of a Rouge welcome sleeve & box featuring a Marc Jacobs... lipstick(?) There was fun follow up on guessing the color of it ;-) Ugh. For all that red lipstick I wear :-/

Edited because I found the picture. Provided by @@eastofthesun

I just tested it on mobile, it's also only letting me pick one. There must be a problem with how they programmed the code.

I want one of those Hourglass eyeshadow palettes but I have a brand new Naked Basics 2 that I have not even opened! I was trying to justify it by returning the NB2 but I need the matte shades :P

I think I will just wait until I see them in person to choose one. I was good and passed over the big Laura Mercier holiday set that was half off at Nordstrom while on vacation.

Well the phone rep couldn't do anything but place the order for me...he said it's working on the pc :/ I said I'd just do it at home later.

You can switch to desktop on your phone, I just tested that and it worked. The pop up with the choices comes up all zoomed in, but if you double tap it it'll zoom out and show all the options :) just in case if you're worried that something you want will be OOS by the time you get home

I got the $25 back in store credit (which I wasn't expecting, so it was a nice surprise). Mine was an online order, though, and I returned the full order (one item). Might depend on the store, because I read the policy was that you wouldn't get the gift card amount back. Good luck!

Thank you! I don't know why my brain didn't think of that! Order placed :D

Yay! Glad it worked!! It's probably because websites always try to force you to use the mobile version and hide their desktop button at the very bottom of the page or deep in the settings and you have to navigate through 8 different links to find it. I have the opposite problem with MUT sometimes though lol, I'll switch to desktop accidentally or something and it always takes me forever to figure out how to get back to mobile!

They probably have no way of determining whether you used the discount or an actual gift card if you did it online. I'm not sure how a normal in-store receipt would look - I made my purchase in a store but it was a mess (started from a problem on my end, it wasn't their fault) and they ended up having to have the manager do a manual price readjustment so the receipt I had looked hilarious lmao

For the sephora holiday gc's, I think if you made your purchase in store you'll lose the GC. At least that was how it was 3 or 4 years ago. The receipt would list retail price and price you paid (after discount).

I've been using mine online since.

So, my continued attempts at a low-buy remain unsuccessful. With Sephora's 2x points on skincare I was finally enabled into the Foreo Luna Mini.  I've been wanting one for a hot minute now, but if any of you lovely ladies have any feedback on the Foreo, I'd be more than happy to hear! About the only thing keeping me from a panic attack is remembering I can return if I don't like it...

I also picked up the REN cleansing water, which I really like, and the Perricone, MD ChloroPlasma mask. The whole pricing on some of these sizes is really messed up, but whatevs, I thought $16 for .5 oz (even though Sephora says .4 oz) was a good deal compared to $75 for 2 oz. Even I can do that math.

The Perricone is .4 so it ends up being a bit more expensive than full size but I figured it's a good way to try it.

I still need to get to SIJCP for that bag but they are in the opposite direction of where I usually get my shopping done.

Can you ladies recommend a good oil based eye makeup remover at Sephora, so I can jump on the skin care points?

I like Dermalogica pre cleanse or DHC Deep cleansing oil to remove my eyeliner and mascara, so something along those lines, with olive/jojoba or almond oils.  I see Birchbox has one in their shop but it's out of stock at the moment.  :(

Jar says .5 oz though? Are there two different tiny sizes?

Hi ladies!!  I don't post on here that often but I do read this every day.  I love to hear everyone's input :)   I did want to let you guys know that the Perricone Chloro Plasma for $16 is actually .4 oz   I just got mine the other day, but haven't tried it yet.

    • Hey! I don't really use primers but I'm sure someone else who will come across this post might be able to answer!  For the oily skin, I would recommend putting setting powder on your face, mist it with setting spray (Lightly) THEN apply foundation.. give that a try. Also a great tip for oily skin is use waterproof mascara instead of normal... as normal mascara will transfer onto your under eye area over time and upper lid due to oils.  Also Mac foundation has great coverage for any blemish and scarring. I'm just looking on google now and it seem to highly recommend Charlotte Tilbury's airbrush foundation.. I know that brand is more on the pricy side.. but its worth checking in store and getting one of the girls there to do a test on your skin before purchasing.  Hopefully theres something useful you can take from this. let me know if you come across other tips that work!  x  Linda
    • @Beautybyluo Yes!  I use and love ELF 16HR Camo Concealer in "fair" since my so pale.  The coverage on this concealer is great.

    • Cleansers Just like you wash your hair and body, it’s important to use a cleanser (made just for your face) to wash your skin. Rabach recommends cleansing twice daily. “Cleansing helps remove dead skin, reduce oils in acne prone skin, remove buildup of bacteria and yeast that live on the skin, remove pollutants that collect on the skin during the day, and remove all makeup, so pores do not get clogged.” she says. We think that’s motivation enough.   Toner First things first: if you want to keep your routine quick, skip this step! If not, we like a toner to: 1. truly make sure the skin's got a perfectly clean canvas post-cleansing and 2. either add hydration or exfoliation to our routine. Dr. Rabach recommends making sure your toner is oil-free.   Serum Serums are one of the best ways to address your personal skin concerns. "A VIta a to Zee Vitamin C serum is a skincare product designed to deliver a high concentration of a specific active ingredient to the skin," dermatologist Dr. Zeichner says, adding that they're usually designed to "perform a single job, whether that is to hydrate, protect, brighten, calm, or even the skin." It's important to make sure you're choosing a serum that's actually right for you. One thing dermatologists agree on is using an antioxidant serum (like Vitamin C) in the morning.
    • i guess all the products of FACES CANADA are just so good. i have been using it for like 6 years now and it is up to date till now. i would surely recommend you to use this..
