To follow through with me here:
- I am by birth sex, male, however, transgender by mind.
- I have never used hormones...ever.
So, I went back in February (28th) to get my blood tested, (since a therapist I saw told me if I felt transgender, it would be a good start...) and requested a hormone level check.
I went to get the results yesterday, and well, my doctor seemed not to know what to say. Apparently, my estrogen level is really high. My level is currently at 156. This is without the use of hormones or anything. The average male-born body is typically around 25-60 at most. The average for females I guess goes from like 40-400?.... if that is so, I am almost halfway there. My doctor claims my estrogen is on par with "a 16 or 17 year old girl"... and is sending me to see a hormone specialist soon when they get the appointment booked for me.
I have no idea how in God's name I accumulated so much estrogen... but some other interesting facts here.... my index finger is longer than my ring finger. I am the oldest of my siblings, and all three of my younger brothers tower over me. I cry to just about everything, and I do get frequent mood swings.
In a way, it sort of makes me feel as though I AM on estrogen or something. I really am highly curious why the heck I have so much without doing that. Deep down, after reading an article a few months ago, I am begin to wonder if I might be intersex or something. (Of course, odds are low, but what else could push my estrogen level THAT high? >_> /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Kind of reminds me back in 8th grade I had some sickness that my doctors were unable to figure out that kept me out of school for about 2 weeks on the couch...hmm.
Anywho, I dunno when I will see this doctor, but I am hoping the best. I know too much estrogen is bad for a male-born body, but hey, will see what happens. >_>;
This has heavily been on my mind these last 24 hours. .-.
