As we know, the beauty industry always released new collections and gets rid of products But sometimes you finally find a product you love and then all of a sudden it's discontinued when you need it the most and then you're just pissed and looking for it everywhere online or begin the painful process of replacing the item. I made this thread to discuss not only you favorite discontinued products (fragrance, make up or Skincare) but to also be able to find dupes or even better replacements (maybe even cheaper!) for those products which you really were sad to see go. 1. Gucci by Gucci EDP- I've looked everywhere for this perfume and I could only find it online or at perfumania, but fear since its no longer made that Its old and has turned ( there's nothing worse then old fragrance), Replacement: Hermes L'ambre des mervalies, gorgeous scent and reminds me of the spicy woody but light scent that I was obsessed with the Gucci 2. M.A.C point liner in green and blue- I was obsessed with these, still am with the black which thank god they still carry. The color payoff was intense and gorgeous the I could go swimming and it was perfectly in tact. Replacement: Stila liquid liners (not the pen) electric and bara bara, gogeous colors, long wearing and easy to apply. 3. Stila prime pots in taffy- I loved this primer, it corrected my lid color with its fleshed toned color, made my shadows vibrant, waterproof, and stay on all day. Replacement: Lime crime eyeshadow helper, amazing and doesn't dry out in the new packaging! Btw if you don't have a replacement yet just write HELP under the replacement so everyone can recommend something similar or better ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I used to love a certain foundation by Benefit that was discontinued a few years ago. I can't remember the name, but it was book- or reading-themed, so each shade was called Volume 1, Volume 2, etc. Volume 1 was the perfect match for my skin, and I was so bummed when they discontinued it.

I've since discovered other brands of foundation (MUFE is my fave) that are probably better than the Volume 1 ever was, but still. It's such a disappointment when products you use every day are suddenly unavailable!

1. Benefit Get Even pressed powder - This has been a HG product for me for years. It's not totally gone yet, but they are gradually phasing it out. As of now it can only be purchased on the Benefit website.

Replacement: Benefit Hello Flawless custom powder cover up - I just bought it this past week so I'm still undecided whether it is a true replacement. I don't like it as much as Get Even but it's possible that I'm just being a brat.

2. Gucci Rush 2 - I love, love, LOVE this fragrance! Unfortunately, my opinion matters not since Gucci discontinued it years ago.

Replacement: None. Rush 2 was such a unique fragrance I don't think there is anything currently on the market to even compare it to. If anyone knows of a comparable scent, let me know!

I'm 100% sure I've seen Gucci Rush 2 at Sephora, check their website

The one thing that I am really freaking sad they discontinued is Gap Dream. I LOOOOOOVE that scent!!! I've never found anything  else that remotely smells close to the same. The first time I ever bought it was in London when I was 14, the one time I have ever been to Europe, so it will forever remind me of that trip. I can still find it at the Gap outlets, but that's the only place you can get them anymore. It bums me out so much!! My boyfriend went to an outlet last summer and bought me 4 bottles of it (all they had in the store), and I still have 3, so I'm super super conservative with it to make it last as long as I can. I know it's silly, but I also really miss Jane Megabites lipstick in Pineapple Delight. All my friends and I were addicted to the stuff when we were in high school, haha. It was just such a pretty color, and it tasted so darn good....

Urban Decay Lip Gunk in Bruise. Sadly I have not found a dupe for that color. So my search continues! Help?!

There is just one thing that I have searched high and low for, and that is a dupe for MAC's Viva Glam Gaga 1 lipstick.  I am so sad that it is no longer available.  I have searched in stores and online for dupes but have been unsuccessful in finding a good one.  If anyone knows a good dupe for this lipstick please let me know, I would be forever grateful!

You probably saw Gucci Rush. Rush 2 has been discontinued for about 6 years. Some places still sell the deadstock but I don't rust that it's authentic or hasn't turned.

I loved loved the eye shadow by Smashbox called Nude.. Discontinued it and mine broke... Does anyone know of a dupe for this great color??

It was a single pot eye shadow which they do not make anymore.  It is a great matte brown that is neither too dark or light.. I can not really explain it better... sorry

The discontinued product I would LOVE to have is MAC lipstick in the color Spanish Fly.  It came out around 2003 and was a part of the regular collection for a while, but it is no longer anywhere to be found.  I sent a sample of it to 3 Color Specialists in New York.  They "duplicated" it supposedly. I sent it back because it was too sheer. They sent it back to me and I am still not satisfied. Anyone in makeup land have one in their stash they wouldn't mind selling or swapping?

mine would be the Ralph Rocks perfume...i'm still able to find it online now, so is it bad that i want to stockpile? lol

MAC's original mineralize foundation. Their Mineralize Moisture foundation is close, but the formula tends to be too slick on my face- even with primer, setting power, setting spray & my skin isn't oily to begin with.

Benefit's Play Sticks in Hop Scotch. Jump rope is still too light but Hop Scotch matched me PERFECTLY. The foundation was cream to powder finish.

I know I read in some other thread that someone was upset because UD's 24/7 in 1999 was discontinued. I was testing a few of my eyeliners and discovered that:

NYX Slide-On Liner in Jewel is a dead ringer for UD 24/7 in 1999
