@@biancardi Since a serum is there to add moisture and nutrients for me I can't imagine alcohol being great in there... Would dry my skin something chronic.

I know.  Any serum that is holographic is suspect to me - lol.  But all anyone had to do was swatch it.  All I smelled was alcohol and I was taken aback.

Someone tried to compare this with Benton's Snail Bee Essence for the shorted shelf life - like how they were made with really great ingredients and natural ones - err, no.

@@Jane George I hadn't even thought of that, honestly. But you're right, and they wouldn't even care how meh or bad their suggestion was. We could end up with another CP2. Yikes.

@@biancardi That serum really bothers me. I'm not liking the way some things are heading. The serum has great packaging, but that is the one thing it has going for it. And that's the "wow" product from the box, Yikes....And denatured alcohol...In a serum? Er. That's one step below toner.

Those USA gift sets are actually laughable. They have the Tony Moly Bunny Gloss valued at 9 dollars. It's 3 dollars on TesterKorea. It's 6 dollars at the TM in New York. If they seriously think they can inflate prices higher than NY-freakin-C, they've completely lost their minds.

Edit: Extending an offer to someone via Twitter is so unprofessional. I can't believe this company sometimes...

TBH it's giving me some second-hand embarrassment.  I'm sort of cringing right now.  I am not the most social media savvy person either, but... this just seems so low-rent!

Because I watched a few seconds of a couple of her videos Youtube keeps recommending more of them to me. I saw a preview of the MAC Rocky Horror collection and I was about to watch the video until I noticed who it was. Yeah, not gonna happen. I really hope there's no box attached to this.

I seriously just can't even comprehend that. No wonder we get some of these people, few self respecting beauty bloggesr are going to deal with Memebox. :P

@@blinded I'm watching parts of Birds on Youtube, and instead of just skipping to the next section, it keeps going to her videos. Clearly, checking out some of those videos yesterday is going to haunt me forever.

Memebox, I will never forgive you for this one.

Well, I just got back from the post office with my anniversary box... it's even more depressing in person.

I ended up with the whitening capsule, giving me 2 whitening products in the box, which is completely useless for me :(

I GOT MY FIRST BOXES TODAY, and I think the contents are great, especially the Empress's Secrets!

hryahe.png

Here they are! Man, these boxes are really cute. And pretty sturdy too! I can probably use these for storage.

Here's the Wonder Woman box. I'm a sucker for anything Wonder Woman related, so they totally got me with that advertisement ploy. I love everything in here except the eyeliner, and that's just because it's brown. I'll probably gift or swap it. I've never used an Ampoule before, so that'll be interesting. And the concealer stick is really nice. I just ran out of my cleanser, so the Dr. Young will help tide me over when I go to Cali. The spot treatment will be very useful. My skin has been very unhappy lately, maybe this will soothe it.

And here'e Empresse's Secrets and WOW it had a lot of big items in it! Yay makeup wipes! And the moisture lotion is nice. The Syn-ake product is moisturizing as well, but I may give it to my mom if she wants it. the two little Soy Bio Amploules will be great for travel, and my favorite item of all...

THE WEIRD BUNNY SCRUB! When I saw that this was in here I was soooo excited. I ran straight to the sink to try it out. It's has a really thick texture, and is very lightly exfoliating. It has a sweet smell that off put me a bit, but that's only if you smell it straight from the tub. On the skin, it's very neutral. Also. It foams when you rinse it. A LOT. I may have used too much, because my whole bathroom sink filled up with suds. Haha.

I can say with utmost certainty, that they are manufacturing dates.

Do any of you ladies have the link that shows photos for it?

How can you steal a -$1500 code and not get caught?? Surely it can be traced? I don't understand that

The code took off $30 per box, and could be used 50 times. Based on what I've seen and heard, it was a large variety of people.

It's Memebox....They're so backwards when it comes to their methods. I would assume they can trace it.

I even sent them an order number for an order on my affiliates that appeared to have used the code hoping they could check into it and see that it wasn't the winner using the code.

No one knows what has happened yet. :(

@@sillymakeupgirl That happens constantly. I'm just glad you posted on MUT about it where people could point that out, the manufacturing date thing is so foreign to most of us. Plus, some of them do print expiration dates. I've had things expired from some sites, so I have to check them every single time. No issues with expired things from Memebox (several hundred items later), only issues with things about to expire in a year. And that's a new issue we have. :(

I am seriously dying laughing right now.

I have an address list that I keep for convenience during the holidays, and I sometimes copy and paste addresses in there for convenience.

I have a standard thing that I sent out to people for the holidays. And I just realized that some of the ladies of MUT from swaps and such are still in my address list.

I just realized I can't for the life of me remember if I forgot not to copy and paste their addresses while filling out the orders.

If anyone gets random mail and has no idea why on earth why....I apologize in advance.

Memebox and MUT have taken over my life.

    • I haven't given in and bought anything yet, though I wanted to. I went to bed early (I think it was 5 pm), and I was listening to Elle S 365 Days of Samples playlist on YouTube. It is inspiring. Elle is detailed, persevering, and creative. I was very cozy, and I dreamed I was going to a spa in Europe. I was so excited about the spa, and about the skin care products the spa was going to have in the room for us. My mother was going with me, and I told her I was going to bring a minimal amount of beauty products in my suitcase, because we would be getting some from the spa. When I woke up I was sad, because the dream was so nice. Now I just woke up and I'm hot and thirsty, but the craving to shop has gone down somewhat. Before I went to sleep I looked in my sample boxes. I saw a beautiful mini lotion with a gold bow on the package that I got for Christmas and had already forgotten about. The glittery gold bow sparkled beautifully in the light.  This while experience today of realizing I have been on No Buy so long without realizing it has been interesting. I have been keeping busy with other things. I began going to a a new religious congregation a month after I went back on No Buy (a different religion I wanted to learn about for a long, long time) and have been busy with that, and have been making new friends and socializing more. The new religion is one that fills my need for intellectual and artistic (through its liturgy) stimulation. I've met wonderful people. It's not always easy to keep going there, as I'm shy and reclusive, but I've kept it up. Maybe this is what made the time go so fast without me knowing it.  I guess I'll go and listen to some more 365 Days of Samples.
    • I'm changing the way I keep track of the time on my No Buy in order to motivate myself more. I didn't realize until today that I'm in month 8 of my second year! Four and a half months until completion of Year 2! I want to finish my mini sample products by June 12, 2020. Here is a partial inventory: Shampoo minis - all used up! Face cream, and face cleanser minis - all used up after a great deal of work and patience!  Mini body scrubs - 1  Mini shower gels - 7 Mini face primers - 8 Mini toners - 9 Mini face masques - 12 I still have to add up mini body creams, hair conditioners, and perfumes. I should reorganize them all to get a new perspective.
    • Today is the test - will I pass or fail?  Two years ago at this time (end of January 2018, on a Sunday), I discovered Hannah Louise Poston videos for the first time. She had just begun her channel. I recalled cleaning my room while watching the videos and feeling very inspired about my No Buy. I was inspired for an entire year, until ... One year ago at this time (end of January 2019, on a Sunday), I was feeling down. The weather was very bad. There was no good food in the house. I started watching haul type videos. I decided to buy something I didn't need. I felt HORRIBLE and just went on a binge. I tried to hard to get back on the path, but couldn't. I didn't get back on the path until June, when I came back with renewed vigor and had huge success for the rest of the year.  I have been thinking, why don't I just let go again, today? After all, last year I let go and did not ruin myself that much, and then by summer, like a miracle, I was back on No Buy and finished all my goals for the year and more. So I'm using that as justification for cheating. I do have shopping cravings right now. Still, I have not used half of the nice things I got on my binge last year. What will I do? Will I relive 2018 or 2019?  ______ Several hours later. I still want to shop. I cleaned a bit while watching the very first video of Hannah Louise Poston, which was published on January 15, 2018 (Introducing My No-Buy Year!). Watching that brought back a lot of good memories. At the 10:00 mark of this video, Hannah was taking about still being in the exciting early phase of the No Buy, with packages still coming in the mail from the last fling before, and it all being new and not the long haul yet. Then I realized I'm not in the early phase, I'm in the long haul now. I looked at my diaries and realized that I am already halfway through the eighth month of my second No Buy year! It has actually been that long since I began again on June 12! I only have four and a half months to complete in my second No Buy year! I really had no idea I was so far along. So while the calendar year is young, it's August as far as my No Buy Year 2 is concerned. The second year of No Buy goes quickly! I still want to shop, but now I am looking at things differently, and may feel less tempted.
    • Something amazing for No Buy - Project Pan - Project Use It Up followers - I was reading the comments section of a Hannah Louise Poston video (Lots of Empties, published 1/21/2020) and I heard about a beauty shop called Credo that has a special recycling bin for cosmetics. Apparently if you bring your empties in for them to recycle, they give you rewards points for new things. And you can bring in any empties, not just things from their shop, although they don't take nail polish, nail polish remover, or perfume. Wow, I love that. What an inspiration for us to stay with our projects. There is no Credo store near me though. They are only in the major US cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc., but maybe they will expand. Maybe they will find a way to let us mail in our empties? Or maybe I will take a trip someday, if I am good on my No Buy for a long time ... I could get my eyebrows done at their store too. Who knows. They do have an online shop also and they give three samples with orders. They have beautiful things. I think I will sign up with their site and start saving my empties up (instead of putting them in my neighborhood recycling); this may a coming trend! It's inspiring.  I always read the comments sections of No Buy videos on YouTube. I always find great tips and inspiration.
