Illinois licensing

I have been searching the internet for a couple of days trying to find out if MUAs require a license in Illinois.  All I am finding is information on things like hair and skin care.  So for those who may know or who are MUAs in Illinois, do you need a license from a college?  I have read that you need something like 160 hours of hands on training, and I have also read that there is no licensing requirement in IL, only a business license. 

Any knowledge is appreciated!  

As far as I'm aware no state requires a person to be a licensed makeup artist however almost all states do require those working in a salon environment must be licensed as a cosmetologist or esthetician. Some states are looking into regulating the makeup artist industry but at this time it is not regulated.
