I rarely react to skin care products or makeup. But there are a few exceptions below, and I'm dying to figure out what it is that's making me react! I think it has something to do with mattifying ingredients, but what is that, exactly? Anyone have a guess? Here's what gets me:
URBAN DECAY EYESHADOW PRIMER - made my eyes red, swollen, and itchy, especially the matte version.
YSL TOUCHE ECLAT - gave me dry, itchy, "alligator" skin where applied
DR BRANDT SUNSCREEN - this was many years ago, so I don't have the product to compare ingredients. It was supposed to be a very matte finish, though.
There are lots of overlapping ingredients here, so it's hard to pinpoint the problem. Anyone?
As a bonus, if anyone else had a bad reaction to these products but found an alternative that worked, would love to hear about it!
