Beauteque Beauty Bag: New Korean Cosmetics Subscription *May Contain Spoilers*

Recommended Posts

I did see the ship by weight, but I'm not sure what they mean by it! I was scared of it being my responsibility, if the bag gets lost! I'll send them a mail when I get home from uni! ^^

I would definitely shoot them a message about the shipping details and have them explain it to you-

I don't understand why they're messing with their shipping...again. :(

They really need to find something that works so there are no more major shipping issues and no more surprises when international customers go to checkout.

It is the same shipper as the jan and feb bags and March is no where again . Yet the special bags are sent with the same one . The one I was sent to review and also the mask maven were sent usps and arrived in 3 days . I'm really not feeling the love for the shipping company and the monthly bags due to the shipping. The bags are good but the excitement and novelty is over by the time it arrives .i don't see why they keep messing around with a company that can't ship quick when others ship for same price or cheaper and quicker .

My first bag came today! I love it! Looking forward to trying these. I did throw the cosmetics bag away though because of the smell. It's too much for me. It's a pretty bag but the plastic smell doesn't agree with me.

Plus the bag is kind of ugly in my opinion lol :(

For some reason my bags never seem to have the scent that everyone else is talking about, at least not any recent ones I received. The Breakfast bag seemed like it was totally fine.

So happy you loved your bag though!! :D new subscriptions are always super exciting!

My breakfast bag was fine, but the lips bag from March smelled very strong, almost like gasoline. I'm not usually very sensitive to smells, but I have to admit, this bag made my eyes tear up a bit.  No big deal though. I don't really care about the bags, so I threw it away. Normally I save bags like that to make Christmas gift bags for a local domestic violence shelter, but this one was truly unsalvageable.

so far, my bags haven't been stinky to me.  The one that I can remember being the worst was an ipsy bag from jan 2014, I believe.

I wonder which is your fav bag so far? :)

I quite like the milk black and white woven one!

I ordered the Head to Toe Pink bag, just to try Beautique out and I was really impressed receiving all the full size products. They also contacted me because the toner they included originally was no longer available and let me pick any toner they had in stock, which I thought was awesome. They also shipped the bag to me in two days, which I thought was really quick. I love all the products included. I'm still not sure I want to pick up a subscription, I may just stick with buying a bag now and then. I really need to try to use up the products I already have first LOL.

I missed Miss Jexie's bag, but I may go ahead and pre-order it. So much for my not buying anything until I use up my products! I am such an addict!

Aww thank you LadyGordon! If you do decide to pre-order, I hope you love it! :D

And I think that is a FANTASTIC solution that they let you pick any toner they had in stock- wow! That was actually a great thing for them to do rather than just throwing somethign random in the bag. Very nice!

Sample Hime posted a spoiler of her bag on Instagram! :D

https://instagram.com/samplehime/

Not home on my laptop so I can't post the picture on it's own, but it's going to be a fantastic bag if you love Mizon. I know what's in it already and I'm telling you for $35 it's a ridiculously good deal.

Super excited for her bag on Tuesday!

I think I'm going to end up skipping Sample Hime's bag. I would have to really want everything in it (I already have the AHA serum, but wouldn't mind having another). After shipping and exchange it would cost me about $55 CDN. I truly can't justify that to myself with the stockpile of items I have already.

@@blinded I'm in the same boat. Miss Jexie's bag cost me £33 and with all the memebox items I still have, I just can't justify another purchase so soon. I'll also have to start saving some cash as off to Menorca with the family at the end if May / start of June and been down in London this weekend which has cost a fortune (as daughter wanted the biggest Paddington bear Harrods makes!). Almost bought an Alexander McQueen scarf but colours were a little pale so settled for a skeleton bunny rabbit necklace from The Natural History Museum and a little Steiff teddy from Harrods :)

I love hearing about you lucky ladies living in London/England visiting Harrods.  :)  I miss Harrods. Living in Finland I used to travel in Europe growing up and one year we went to London. My mom and I visited Harrods and it was great. I ended up getting my makeup done there at the YSL counter and bought a brush and something else but I can't remember what since it was so many years ago. I hope I get to go to Harrods again someday. It's just such a far trip from the US to London now.

I got Sample Hime's bag a bit early for review purposes (us bloggers all got each other's bag so we could support each other!) and I'm not sure how many of you have seen her spoiler pic in the TesterKorea facebook group, but either way...

Her bag really is fantastic! I'm not a fan of rose-scents, but the rosewater toner is incredibly subtle, and the scent goes away almost as soon as the toner hits my face. The Snail Cleanser has a pH of 9, so while I won't be using it, I know plenty of people who love this product so I'll pass it along. I have the acne/scar cream already and I'm literally obsessed with it- if you pop a pimple and IMMEDIATELY put this stuff on top of it pretty thickly,it'll be practically gone the next day and with little no no scarring. It's great for face-pickers like me!!

The AHA Serum is, in a word, the best AHA product I can remember using. Love it. It's a must-have IMO.

And of course, the sheet mask- syn-ake is fun and Mizon masks are good quality, so that's good too!

I think if any of these products interest you, it's more than worth the cost, even adding it all up on RRS it's still a great value!

thanks @@MissJexie!  I just looked at the photo in testerkorea - it looks like a nice bag, but yours was so much better :D (for me, as least!)

I am passing due to the fact that I will not use 2 of the products...

I'm sort of relieved that I'm not interested in anything other than the AHA serum. I have a few Mizon products I want to try, but none of them are in that bag. At least I won't feel like I'm missing out thanks to the crap exchange rate.

I preordered MissJexie's honey bag. The real selling point for me was the Holika Holika sleeping pack. I've never used the Canola one, but I'm OBSESSED with the blueberry one. I can't stress enough how amazing it is, so I'm looking forward to trying to canola.

Also...I'm kind of in love with honey. I hope time passes by quickly. lol.

Ahh Yay!! I hope time passes by quickly too- I want everyone to get it as soon as possible because I personally hate waiting LOL

I actually picked the Blueberry pack in my April BB Bag because it sounds like it would smell amazing! The Canola one kind of just smells like floral-y honey, but ohhh my goodness I love it! It's quickly become one of my absolute favorite sleeping packs, so I'm really excited to get the blueberry one too!

The blueberry smells rgood. It apparently also tastes like blueberries and honey. My boyfriend type person is very special when he has been drinking and dipped his finger in to taste it because it smells "edible".

But more importantly, it's the best sleeping pack I've ever used. Lol.

    • No Buy Program Guide   I found a great new No Buy channel on YouTube (well it found me; it was in my recommended videos), a new No Buy channel from a New York concert pianist, Natalia Lavrova. I find this fascinating, because I love the world of classical music. Here is someone in my dream life, who loves shopping, and beauty subscriptions, who has credit card debt, and is doing a No Buy! I'll be fascinated to watch this channel and hear how this artist's No Buy goes as she is preparing for concert tours abroad! Ms. Lavrova has a really good Shop My Stash video with great tips on winter makeup colors, like icy pink highlighter. I looked for her piano performances on YouTube and they are stunning. This is going to be a big inspiration for me!
    • I made it through the night with no buying! I slept through the shopping craving like it was an illness. I woke up after the 12 hours of sleep and as I was waking up I thought of a happy time in the 90's. I was young; all my family members were alive. I was at a Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies, (I love James Bond and don't know what I am going to do when his new film is released, since I'm not allowed money for entertainment on my No Buy). On the floor near my feet was a big bag of Estee Lauder products that I had just gotten with my birthday and Christmas money. I had a full size moisturizer and a huge PWP, beautiful. The film had a great ending. The Bond girl was underwater, running out of air, and just in time, there's James Bond, the theme music resumes! Great scene! And walking around the mall after, how happy I felt! And today I am sad that time is gone, many family members are gone, life is sadder, time is running out, and I did not use that bag of Estee Lauder products up! I probably used them a few times and then threw them out and bought something else. And maybe if I had used every drop, in my mind, I could have held on to life, to time, to happiness. At any rate I would have had more money. If only we knew about No Buys and Project Pans then! This is just one of a million examples of how I think about this.  When I woke up Elle S was still analyzing her samples! She was talking about how her project taught her to evaluate (excellent video, Oct 1, 2017).  Last night in bed I took some photos of samples I need to use up. Sorry for so many long posts, but I've really had to work on this for the last 24 hours. Primers, shower gels and body scrub, toners, and masques.
    • I haven't given in and bought anything yet, though I wanted to. I went to bed early (I think it was 5 pm), and I was listening to Elle S 365 Days of Samples playlist on YouTube. It is inspiring. Elle is detailed, persevering, and creative. I was very cozy, and I dreamed I was going to a spa in Europe. I was so excited about the spa, and about the skin care products the spa was going to have in the room for us. My mother was going with me, and I told her I was going to bring a minimal amount of beauty products in my suitcase, because we would be getting some from the spa. When I woke up I was sad, because the dream was so nice. Now I just woke up and I'm hot and thirsty, but the craving to shop has gone down somewhat. Before I went to sleep I looked in my sample boxes. I saw a beautiful mini lotion with a gold bow on the package that I got for Christmas and had already forgotten about. The glittery gold bow sparkled beautifully in the light.  This while experience today of realizing I have been on No Buy so long without realizing it has been interesting. I have been keeping busy with other things. I began going to a a new religious congregation a month after I went back on No Buy (a different religion I wanted to learn about for a long, long time) and have been busy with that, and have been making new friends and socializing more. The new religion is one that fills my need for intellectual and artistic (through its liturgy) stimulation. I've met wonderful people. It's not always easy to keep going there, as I'm shy and reclusive, but I've kept it up. Maybe this is what made the time go so fast without me knowing it.  I guess I'll go and listen to some more 365 Days of Samples.
    • I'm changing the way I keep track of the time on my No Buy in order to motivate myself more. I didn't realize until today that I'm in month 8 of my second year! Four and a half months until completion of Year 2! I want to finish my mini sample products by June 12, 2020. Here is a partial inventory: Shampoo minis - all used up! Face cream, and face cleanser minis - all used up after a great deal of work and patience!  Mini body scrubs - 1  Mini shower gels - 7 Mini face primers - 8 Mini toners - 9 Mini face masques - 12 I still have to add up mini body creams, hair conditioners, and perfumes. I should reorganize them all to get a new perspective.
    • Today is the test - will I pass or fail?  Two years ago at this time (end of January 2018, on a Sunday), I discovered Hannah Louise Poston videos for the first time. She had just begun her channel. I recalled cleaning my room while watching the videos and feeling very inspired about my No Buy. I was inspired for an entire year, until ... One year ago at this time (end of January 2019, on a Sunday), I was feeling down. The weather was very bad. There was no good food in the house. I started watching haul type videos. I decided to buy something I didn't need. I felt HORRIBLE and just went on a binge. I tried to hard to get back on the path, but couldn't. I didn't get back on the path until June, when I came back with renewed vigor and had huge success for the rest of the year.  I have been thinking, why don't I just let go again, today? After all, last year I let go and did not ruin myself that much, and then by summer, like a miracle, I was back on No Buy and finished all my goals for the year and more. So I'm using that as justification for cheating. I do have shopping cravings right now. Still, I have not used half of the nice things I got on my binge last year. What will I do? Will I relive 2018 or 2019?  ______ Several hours later. I still want to shop. I cleaned a bit while watching the very first video of Hannah Louise Poston, which was published on January 15, 2018 (Introducing My No-Buy Year!). Watching that brought back a lot of good memories. At the 10:00 mark of this video, Hannah was taking about still being in the exciting early phase of the No Buy, with packages still coming in the mail from the last fling before, and it all being new and not the long haul yet. Then I realized I'm not in the early phase, I'm in the long haul now. I looked at my diaries and realized that I am already halfway through the eighth month of my second No Buy year! It has actually been that long since I began again on June 12! I only have four and a half months to complete in my second No Buy year! I really had no idea I was so far along. So while the calendar year is young, it's August as far as my No Buy Year 2 is concerned. The second year of No Buy goes quickly! I still want to shop, but now I am looking at things differently, and may feel less tempted.
