Hi guys! I haven't posted on MUT for quite a long while now but I have been following discussions. Now I am here with a curiosity. I live in Romania and I want to know what is the best affordable eyebrow kit you know of? I need something that does not give off that reddish brown shade as my eyebrows are sparse and blonde and it shows easily. Thanks!

You should check out NYX and e.l.f.

They are both affordable (NYX is $6 for two powder shades, a wax, and two brushes; e.l.f. is $3 for a gel shade, a powder shade, a mirror, and a double-sided brush) and they come in multiple colors.

Check out their websites to see the colors:

I haven't used the e.l.f. but have heard good things about it. I use the NYX in blonde and it's awesome. I don't really use the wax, but I use the lighter powder shade to fill in  my brows. I think these are basically dupes for Benefit's Brow Zings or something.

Edited to add: Since you're in Romania, you might have better access to Essence brand- I haven't tried them, but they are a pretty good brand generally.

Milani also makes a good brow kit (I looked, and discovered Milani began selling in Romania in 2012).

Here's a link to the Milani brow kit from the Milani website:

If your brows are both sparse and light, for the most natural look I'd recommend you use a powder or pencil to fill in your brows and something to tint your brow hairs as well. I make my own brow tint using e.l.f. Essential Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara (http://www.eyeslipsface.com/elf/eyes/mascara/wet_gloss_lash_and_brow_clear_mascara). I take the tip of the brush from the Lash & Brow Clear Mascara (either end will do), and touch it to the tip of the brush from a regular colored mascara (not waterproof - either brown, dark brown, or black). When I've picked up a bit of the colored mascara on the brush, I insert the brush from the clear mascara back into the tube, and swirl it around a bit. This tints the clear product and when you apply it to your brows, it will tint the hairs as well. If the results aren't dark enough, just repeat the process until the clear is tinted according to your liking.

Because this tints the brow hairs with a translucent color (as opposed to opaque), the result is quite natural in appearance (with the added benefit of keeping your brow hairs in place).

@@TwirlyGirly Thanks! Unfortunately Milani wasn't long on the market here.. they are out already :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks everyone, I ended up just mixing a few matte eyeshadows for the perfect color for me as a temporary sollution.

I am considering ELF and NYX. I looked at the Essence one and it does have that reddish undertone I really dread :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> so that's a no go for me.

I will keep you guys updated ^.^

If you have access to Wet n Wild, the eyebrow/eyeliner in Taupe is wonderful and cheap (here in the US they often go on sale for 69 cents), if it needs setting, just a slight touch of translucent powder or a matching matte eyeshadow will work great.

@@Kristine Walker that sounds great! unfortunately Wet and Wild is not available in Ro. There was an online shop that carried it and they stopped stocking it due to the fact that a lot of their products were being damaged in transportation from the US.  I could order it from the outside stores like beautyjoint but they have quite high shipping rates to Ro. (damn it!) Thanks anyway! ^.^

I personally use an angled eyeliner brush and a cream eyeliner from elf and do a gradient eyebrow with that. Out of all of the products I have ever used, I am happiest with this. You just apply the product on the tail first since the more product the darker it will be and slowly bring the product down into the rest of your eyebrow. It's like a cheap version of Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow.  :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hmmm, I would definitely recommend the brow kits from milani! They come with highlight, and 2 brow colors as well as tweezers and an angled brush!  I believe it retails from 7-9$ and it lasts all day. They do have a different range of colors so definitely check it out! :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
