Have you successfully bleached out a birth mark?

I'm not sure where to post this but I recently bought skin lightening cream for my sun spots around my eyes. One sun spot that's tiny seems to be fading. Now, I wonder if there a way to bleach out a birth mark? I hate it and someone mentioned it to me. I also have similiar marks around my arm pits. I have attached a photo of the mark I want to lighten. You can barely see it due to bad lighting but it's there!
