Hey y'all, I hope I'm posting this in the right category, if not, my apologies.
I am not a makeup pro by any means. I know enough to get by and not look like an idiot but that's about it. I used to have perfect skin when I was a teenager so I really didn't have to wear makeup to cover things, just to even out skin tone, but now at 22 my skin is a disaster. I don't know if it's because of hormons, enviroment, my love of fried food (yumm /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> ) or stress but my skin looks terrible.
I've been wearing Bare Minerals for about 5 years now, and I'm pretty happy with it, but it just doesn't have that full coverage that I need. I try layering it like they tell you to but it's still not full coverage and you can still see acne marks and scars through it, which is okay for everyday makeup, I really don't care if you can see marks when I'm just running around town but when I go out for the night I would like a more full coverage look.
I use the Bare Minerals moisturizer, and then Smashbox pore minimizing primer, some BM concealer, and then about 3-4 layers of the original powder BM foundation. (in that order)
Is there something else I could be using to cover up acne/scars? I've looked at BB creams, and I saw a lot of good reviews on the Urban Decay Naked BB cream, does that stuff work? I haven't used liquid foundation since high school because I never could get the color match right and always ended up with that dreaded orange mark on my jawline, but I think I'm old enough now to apply it better if that would give me more coverage.
Any advice you have I would LOVE to hear, I'm planning a trip to Ulta within the next few days so I would like to get some reccomendations from you guys.
Thank you! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
