UK Boxes - Glossybox, Lovelula, My Little Box and others

Recommended Posts

So, a LOT of the threads are for US boxes only (boohoo!) and thought it would be nice to have a thread for UK boxes only...you know, the ones either originating in the UK or sent to the UK (but perhaps not the States - like My Little Box).

At the moment I've been subscribed to MLB since it started back in September and love the variety of beauty and lifestyle products. This month is My Super Box - have no idea what'll be in it yet though :)

Did get Glossybox for February but wasn't that impressed tbh so cancelled. Ditto with You Beauty Discovery Box - didnt fancy any of the products for Feb or March...though at £6.95, its the cheapest and smallest box out there I think!

Just ordered the Latest in Beauty Glamour Box and also got the Look Fantastic March box en-route.

Not ordered UK Birchbox or LoveLula but might give LL a go at some point.

Any others UK folk swear by that's worth a go?

The theme for My Little Box this month is My Little Superhero and will include a t-shirt (grey in colour with "I believe I can fly" in black across the front. Its one size but understand this to be a UK 12-14. Also includes some superhero stickers plus the beauty products (3).

Latest in Beauty have a number of fabulous boxes at the moment including British Beauty Blogger 3 box which has an insane 16 products crammed into the box for just under £22! Absolutely fantastic if you want to try a product as card insert has vouchers for most of the products. There's also the Glamour magazine box for £14.95 which includes a years sub to the magazine for free!!

Look Fantastic has a new box out but haven't ordered that (I'm in product overload at the moment so only ordering occasionally boxes).

As no one else has added any comments I'm guessing there aren't many UK folk so I'll let the thread die unless someone else adds a post or two... No point me talking to myself here lol!!

Just found this for the UK ladies. It's a Glamour magazine beauty box. Looks like they have other boxes available too. UK only delivery. I wish I could order but no USA delivery.  :(  Here is the link http://www.latestinbeauty.com/

@@Reija that's a great box - ordered it a while back. Always been very impressed by Latest in Beauty as good selection of items and price ok.

My Little Box this month is a dream box and from what I've seen from the French instagram folk, it'll contain a necklace plus a stamper and ink plus the 3 beauty products and magazine. Still my favourite sub for the quality and quantity of items for £14.95 all in.

Beauty Box Discovery this month had a better selection including a Konjac sponge which retails at £7.95 (so more than the box at £6.95). Have kept this sub on to see what May includes...

Have also ordered the zbox from April which is on animation so hoping for disney / Pixar items....though probably not. Really wish there was a dedicated animation box out there...with funko, tsum tsum, etc as would sign up in a heartbeat!!

I really hope My Little Box ships to the U.S. one day! I get such sub box envy every time I see that sub posted on Instagram.

Just managed to order the June cohorted box which has been sold out every month since launch as they include high end brands. Costs £19.95 plus postage but meant to include nearly £100 (or more) worth of products. Site is getting slaughtered at the moment though!

Also, there's to be a new block from Nerd Block coming out in 5 days. I'm guessing a comic block but hoping for an animation one..,

Latest in beauty had a Clinique box but sold out within a couple of days!

You Beauty Discovery also have a limited edition box out that includes a snail cream plus Elemis pro-collagen product (I'm on the mobile so can't add link easily).

New box out - nailbox which has 4 full sized nail polishes from brands like Essie, OPI and Rimmel London. Can't remember price but think its under £15.

One to avoid - A beautiful world. Cost £19.95 plus £2.50 postage and contains tiny samples plus a pencil, plastic zip lock bag and canvas tote. Definitely not worth the money paid and billed as their spring / summer box.

i gave up last spring with a beautiful world after they sent small samples before all full size and good, and the past 2 boxes have been not great at all.

love lula is good, vegan kind is ok, vegan cuts is american but ok,

awaiting klover box to ship international,

won't go near so susan bag as the products are cheap and not great and after a few months on their nail box it was same colours different name so won't go near the make up bag.

comic block,

there are loads of boxes

shabby geek box,

geeks lush box

infinity crate,

degustabox

graze

prudence and the crow

pop shot box

my mystery chest box

gave up on love me beauty  and you beauty,

birchbox and glossy box i wouldn't recommend ever to anyone both went down hill after 3 years , international versions are cheaper higher brands  and full size and deluxe we in the uk pay the most and get vials and shitty samples for no resale ,

will do a list of more boxes just found this thread,

I just received one of the graze share boxes (costs £15) and what's more, you can order single boxes rather than a sub. I used to get the weekly box but stopped that after the birth of my daughter so great to see the one off boxes as much prefer that option tbh

I've bought the last few Zavvi boxes which have been OK. Next month theme is Cops so not sure whether I'll order or not as going on holiday end of this month so could do with th extra cash for ice creams etc! The Marvel box should arrive soon so will post image on Instagram when it arrives. Also ordered My Geek box for June as a standalone box as they are meant to have a limited edition Funko pop. Also ordered the kids box which was meant to ship this week (but still sitting as awaiting fulfilment).

subbed to Glossybox for 2 months but wasn't impressed and never been interested in birchbox. Really need to start actually using the items so might do a purge at some point.

I'm using all my Korean products up and getting through them quite quickly . And I'm really tempted to try graze again I used to use the weekly edition but I like the sound of the breakfast and kids one . And I'm all for trying some different types . I left after trying out the flapjacks when then first added them

Lorna - the share box is nice from Graze as you get 5 large resealable bags that contain about 4 box size portions. I ordered as thought I could pop some into smaller containers for daughter's snack playtime box when she starts school in August. Bit healthier than a packet of crisps / chocolate and can vary each day so she's not getting the same old, same old day in, day out. They have a reasonable selection and the bags work out at £3 each which is probably cheaper than those fruit winder type snacks as well. Plus mummy can also take some for her work too as I'm out the office a fair bit and often miss lunch completely as visiting another site (I'm a H&S adviser and cover about 40 offices). Means I have to grab a snack when I can as only get 30 mins for lunch as it is and most of the time I'm either driving or on a train (or in the office doing risk assessments).

Also trying to make my way through some of the K beauty products but hardly dented the stock. I just don't have the time or patience for the 10 steps in the morning and at night tbh so most nights (if I've not worn make-up) its the toosowong snail cream on face with milky dress eye cream and whatever moisturiser I've grabbed for my arms and legs. Tonight I've a sleeping mask on my feet just to use it up lol!

I'm trying to cut down on subs as I don't have to space for anything else either and could do with spending less too.

Will try graze again as I'm too busy and lost so much so wieght from not eating .

Cleansers im going through like water and face creams . Mists are all packed for holiday it's the masks I'm having trouble with as too tired to slap one on . I've packed 20 for holiday for me and son to use after mountain climbing so that's the cooling aloe Vera ones sorted and aloe Vera gel for after sun sorted . I cancelled love lula and had spits and a rash from one if the animal masks come up on my face so I'm back to the hydrogel and innisfree masks .

Lorna - oh no about the face mask. Thankfully I've not had anything too severe..yet so hope it settles down. Off on hols at the end of the week so going to try a couple of the sun creams - Etude House plus maybe The Yeon one as its a gel. I'm a typical Scot so pale blue skin most of the time and burn easily so SPF 50 or crispy. The days of going out with NO sun cream are long gone and my daughter gets slathered head to toe. No way I want her burning so she always wears a sunhat and shades.

Waiting to see what the Cohorted beauty June box will contain - hoping its good though. There's a new Glamour Latest in Beauty box out on the 2nd but may miss out as will be away when it comes out and wasn't aiming to take my phone with me...though may take the iPad and sneak buy it when DH is down at the pool lol! Either that or I'll have to see if there are any left by the time I get back. Loved the last box as always includes loads of products.

The Zavvi Marvel box was really good so yes, I've caved and bought the June one too. Not impressed with My Geek Box tho as kids box still not arrived and they hae ignored emails politely asking when it will be dispatched so unlikely to buy from them again.

Now only get my Little Box, You Beauty Discovery, pink parcel (though will cancel if its late for a 3rd month) and Fortune cookie Soap every 3 months. Daughter gets Nerd Block jnr plus the one off boxes like Astrid & Miyu (jewellery). Do love the excitement of a parcel arriving but really need to cut down as really don't need half the stuff sent.

    • Advent calendar: Day 8 - Bright red nail polish - Polish was so easy to apply, and lasted well. I got several compliments on it.  Day 9 - At the Heart of Pine Trees Holiday Shower Gel - a fresh orange scent with a soft wood note.  Day 10 - Apricot body scrub.  Day 11 - Hydrating micellar water.  Day 12 - Plein Soleil Perfume - I love the perfume! It is tuberose with a hint of cardamom, to evoke travels to the East.  Day 13 - At the Heart of Pine Trees matching body lotion.  Day 14 - Mango Coriander Shower Gel.  My Advent calendar has been nice, but my week was unlucky. First there was the broken water heater, then my brother had a flat tire, my father had a flat tire, and my brother had a mishap where he hit the mailbox at my work with his car when he came to pick me up  - I am so ashamed. My work is slow so they cut everybody's hours. The paychecks are going to be low, It's just for the holidays, they said. But who knows. This all happened in one week.  I don't know if I will be able to pay off my credit card by the end of the year as I wanted, and if I will be able to do the January goal I had planned. At least I finished my Christmas shopping and mailing for friends and family! I found it difficult. This weekend I need to clean and make a Plan B.
