Hi

I'm new to this forum and I have a question about my mac foundation! I'm new to Mac too and I'm finding it goes dry and bitty in places on my face, anyone know why this is happening? I use Nivea facial wipes to clean my face and Mac oil control before I apply my make up! If anyone can please help will be much appreciated xx

Hi! Welcome to MUT! and MAC too ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20"> Are you using a moisturizer before your foundation? It's best to prep the skin before foundation so that it doesn't settle into the dry areas. Even if you have an oily skin it's important to moisturize first with a moisturizer for your skin type. Hope this helps.

Try the MAC matte primer, then go in with a liquid concealer that will dry with a matte effect and then it will be time to add a little foundation (remember to blend using the correct brushes. No fingers allowed!) & mineral powder. I'm not a big fan of the MAC concealers so I use LA Pro girl http://www.amazon.com/L-Girl-Definition-Concealer-GC971-988/dp/B00SNT16TY/ref=sr_1_3?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1431531745&sr=1-3&keywords=la+girl+pro+concealer and to keep your face matte at all times but not to dry, finish of with some Ben Nye powder http://www.amazon.com/Ben-Nye-Translucent-Powder-Neutral/dp/B00EKT69A2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1431533277&sr=8-1&keywords=ben+nye+powder or Kiko invisible powder - Hope this helped !

are you over exfoliating? That will create dry patches. You should only exfoliate about once a week, and then gently. Be sure you use moisturizer and let it soak in, or makeup will stick to it in patches too.
