Circular Swap - Who's in?

Recommended Posts

It's been a while since we have had a circular swap so I wanted to see if people are interested in doing one. I have so many samples that I would love to send them. We could do a sample circular swap and also Korean mask circular swap if there is enough interest. Please reply if you are interested in being part of one or the other or both.We could do something else too like nails if there is enough interest. We'll also be doing Secret Santa this year so stay tuned. We'll start organizing it in Sep/Oct so if you wish to be part of it be sure to be an active member of MUT ;) Please note that to be eligible to participate in circular swap and/or secret santa we require minimum of 50 legitimate posts, no warnings and minimum of 30-days as a member (60-days as a member for secret santa) before the start date. :)

Hi, I would be interested in joining depending upon the timing.  I just don't want to be away when it's my turn.  It will be my first; I did a little background reading and it appears that it goes like this:  someone starts the box, it's shipped to the next person who takes out what is wanted and adds in items to replace the items taken.  Box should be shipped out again in 3 days.  Is that correct?  Thanks.

yes that is correct. We can change the day count to 5 days if needed. The 3 days might be tough to meet for some people. :)

Would start date of August 17th work for everyone? or earlier next week? What do you guys think would be better 3 or 5 days time until the next box needs to be sent?

The 17th works for me. I prefer 5 days (including Saturday's), just gives everyone a chance to still get all your adulting done then time to play with samples and get to the post office.

Looks like we have 9 to start. I didn't count @@avaisdancing (sorry vacation) and @@beautyobsessed (not enough posts at this time). Also didn't count @@dotybird (will PM to see if she wants to join since this is not a purely mask one)

5 days sounds good. I'll go ahead and get the box together next week and take pictures. I'll do a random draw of the names to see who goes after me and so on to make it fair, if everyone is ok with it. I'm open to suggestions. Whatever you all think would be the best, we can do. This is for all of us so we get to make the rules as we go and see if anything needs to be changed going forward. We can do separate mask, nail etc at a later date as well if there is enough interest but for now let's do this to start. It's going to be fun!!

So no nail polish/perfumes to make it easier to ship (or are those ok?) I know the post office wants that stuff to go ground.

Just thinking out loud, rules wise:

Everyone must be willing to pay for the shipping of the box to the next person (I hope that was assumed?), with tracking and you must communicate with the group (box arrive, shipping, tracking number, what you took, what you added etc., etc.) that not only helps everyone keep and eye on things but keeps things fun!

Also I think it would be a good idea:

Post as soon as you get the box.

Send it on within 5 days, taking longer than 5 days (without any communication with the group will probably result in being excluded from future swaps)

PM the next one to get the box with tracking number (again no tracking number could result in being excluded in the future)

Post at least one picture of items you're taking and and one picture of the items you're adding.

Also, thoughts about used/swatched items?  Perhaps we can put a secure post-it note on items that have been used/opened or swatched, if you're including?  I'm generally ok with used items but, I realize not everyone is comfortable with it.

Count me in!  I meant to say that I was not interested in masks but am definitely interested in an everything else swap!  I am fine with the dates and also with lightly swatched items if they are clearly marked.

@@Bizgirlva These are excellent points and let's stick with these rules. Thanks for posting!! For the gently used/opened or swatched things, let's put those separate in a zip lock bag with a post-it note stating they have been used.

Good idea that keeps things nice and organized too!

    • I have some more low quality photos to post! 😏 Bottom photo shows my little Avon haul. You can see my Rare Pearls deodorant, and also my pink Himalayan salt infused toothbrush, from a Korean brand called Perioe. Also my belif samples. Very pretty little haul, making buying necessary hygiene items a little treat. (See post above - talks about how New Avon - the United States Avon - was purchased by a major, major Korean beauty company, and now has all kinds of beautiful Korean cosmetics along with the classics and Avon favorites! Very interesting development.) Top photo: Finally finishing some little samples and starting some new ones from the stash! I finished Freeman pink salt and cucumber masque packet (it took weeks to finish), and I'm now using the Eve Lom Rescue Masque mini tube. I love the Eve Lom masque.  Finished the Porefessional mini, and ready to begin the Porefessional Pearl Primer sample. Excited to try that. Only one more application left of Blow Pro Weather Girl mini and Yves Rocher Body Scrub mini! Finished the mini Yves Rocher At the Heart of Pine Trees Shower Gel mini, and have started using up the Argan Rose shower gel mini!  My job is again encouraging voluntary cut in hours, so I'm working one day less per week. Also this week I lost a lot of time/income due to the flu. Everyone in my office has it. That's okay, because I'm going back to my seasonal job in about ten days! I'm so excited! I'm putting together a new timetable! That will help me pay off my credit card for sure. And I love the job.  I even made a dentist appointment at a dental office I've been wanting to try. I'm trying to make the most of the extra time I have from the hours cut. Can't wait for March.
    • The experience of loans and microloans, I have only negative. After I paid 300% of the amount I originally took, I told myself that I'd rather rely on luck than take this loan again. Therefore, I advise you to better approach the choice of a game resource here https://bingo77usa.com/free-bingo-games and try your luck, which always smiles for beginners.
