I have been trying out different hair dyes. Boxed hair dyes, ugh! But my husband refuses to allow me to go to the hair stylist once a month anymore. Anyway, I am trying to cover grays, yet they all seem to fade. It has nothing to do with the new grays, it's the color fades at the gray, and looks awful. Are there any good brands that anyone can recomment?

Do you have a Sally beauty near you? They have dyes that are stronger than the drugstore brands, just like what is used at the salons. Sally has a website too. They sell to public so you don't have to be a professional to shop there. Maybe worth checking out. http://www.sallybeauty.com/

I often had this experience with my professional work as I do some hairdressing in my free time. Well as I don't want to earn on people that need to dye their hair every 14 days or so. That is why I recommend them to use some color protect product. I tried some already and for me is the best this one: http://www.shielo.com/color-protect-conditioner.html you can as well try to check in the shop and use some other product of this type.
