Interesting! Not a terribly exciting line-up in my opinion but I'd be okay with any of those.

I wonder if the stars in the background are a hint at a 'Stars and Stripes' type theme for November, with election day in the US and all?

I read on hellosubscription that soon we might be able to eliminate certain products we don't want, like mascara, bronzer, highlighters, etc. And request one item a month. She said it was available to some members now, but hopefully everyone in the near future.

Omg I rarely like the ipsy bags, I'm happy to give them away, but I love this one! One of my favorite ipsy bags is starting to rip so Need a replacement. I use the bag to carry my ear buds, charging cord and battery back up so it's vital to my purse!

Taking into account what I have selected on my profile and my reviews I feel like this would be a possible bag combination for me. Now lets see if I get any of them! However there are a bunch of things I like this month that I didn't list on here. I tend to get the Cake Beauty products because I rate them highly. I've been getting more nail polish lately (which I love) and I've gotten several of the Formula X Nail Polishes from ipsy already. I have blush selected in my profile and I chose "peach" as a color preference. I have sheet masks selected and I tend to frequently get them (again I review them highly). I'd prefer to have the Leaders masks over the Bonvivant though. As for the guaranteed spoiler I don't really have a preference. I've had several tubes of the Too Faced already but don't feel very strongly about it. As far as brands go I get both theBalm (even though I don't have it selected as a brand preference I like most of the products I get from them) and Too Faced items frequently. I don't have primer checked so if I get the Benefit item it will make zero sense when I actually have mascara checked. I feel like the brushes are also high posibilities. As for lip products I didn't select "red" as a color option but I checked off everything else so my only option there should be the Elizabeth Mott in the Moxie Mauve. Other possibilities could be the body scrub or the lip balm. I'm interested to see how my predictions hold up or if I will get some compeltly off the wall stuff.

theBalm mad lash mascara- I like this brand but I've never tried their mascara. I hope it's good.

Doucce freematic blush- the only thing in my bag I'm not interested in.

I got my spoiler.  I am not thrilled by the Tarte maracuja oil because I think I have about a gallon of it at this point, but I'm impressed with this month's box.  I had been about to cancel, but maybe now I'll hang on.post-26853-0-51122900-1478290641_thumb.png

I called my bag 3/5 basically.

Formula X Nail Polish in Huntress- I love emerald nail polish!

theBalm Cosmetics Mad Lash Mascara- Glad I got one of the mascaras. I haven't tried this one yet so I'm happy.

Bonvivant Botanical Pure Masks- I figured I would get sheet masks I was hoping for the Leaders but I will try these. I really enjoy sheet masks but I find some of them are overly fragrant and burn my skin. I've had Leaders masks before and they haven't bothered me but I look forward to trying something new!

Tarte Maracuja Oil- I don't have face oils marked on my profile. However I do have tarte marked as a brand I like and have rated their products well. I've had this before and it's great for winter skin woes.

Ciate London Liquid Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in Diva- I marked all lipstick colors as "yes" except for red. However I have liquid lipstick marked as something I want as well as the Ciate brand. I also rate Ciate products highly.

Overall I'm happy with my bag. Nothing is useless except I wish the lipstick would have been anything but red. I wish I had gotten the Be Delectable Hand Cream and the Doucce Blush though.

My Mom's really happy with her bag. I think in general most people would view her bag as good (but maybe that's just me). She also received red lipstick despite not having it selected. I wonder if the updated profiles have actually been factored in this month or not.

Doucce Freematic Blush in Zen Orange

Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum

theBalm Cosmetics Mad Lash Mascara

Besame Cosmetics Brightening Vanilla Face Setting Powder

Absolute New York Matte Stick in Dark Red

I got my bag yesterday.

I'm not as in love with the bag as I thought I would be, I got the silver version. The bag is pretty cheap feeling in my opinion, I also wanted gold but oh well. I'll put it up for swap.

I got the same bag as Liz at MSA. I love the nail polish. I swatched the banana powder, I'm not to sure how well it'll work for me but I'll try it. Everything else will get used eventually, the brush is super cute with the little rhinestones on it.

The banana powder is great as a light finishing powder. I'm hoping to get it to try it. I used to use a banana powder long time ago and it worked great.

    • End of the summer no buy today; autumn equinox tonight. How was the summer for me? I have to admit that summer, with the weather being too hot to enjoy, and shopping and entertainment spending not allowed, did get rather dull when I was not working! But though I was bored, I did not crack and shop just to occupy time. Sometimes I did eat too much when bored on weekends. I hope autumn will be busier, cooler, and more fun for me.  My little boredom was worth it, however.  I realized I've gone through some psychological progress. At the start of the year, I wanted to pay one debt off each month. I managed to meet my goal on average until June. I loved the fast progress I was making. But in June, expenses got higher unexpectedly. I had to redraw my plan and shoot for a seasonal goal. At the start, I didn't know if I'd even be able to pay my credit card off by end of summer. But I got good support here, and I did it! I've conditioned myself for a longer haul.  I've stuck with no buy/project use it up longer than ever before, and I am seeing benefits I never did before. I feel myself turning a corner. I still found myself with a little vestige of my old compulsive beauty shopping: the impulse to hoard samples and free gifts. I used buying replacement items to justify this, often paying extra for the needed item to get free things. For example, I got expensive Chanel cotton pads to get samples and gift packaging, when I might have gone to the supermarket and purchased a nice pack of Swisspers. I felt myself starting to overdo on this, and even dreamed of relapsing. But then, I realized I am in sight of finishing my extra hair and skin care stash, maybe by the end of this year, or early next year! I've never been close to finishing that much before. Gradually, I am experiencing extra space and simplicity in my hair and skin care shelves, and I enjoy the feeling. Now, the thought of filling my shopping cart with samples and extras makes me anxious, as it will only set me back! I think this is progress. In the past, I've done massive decluttering to try and sort out my excess beauty shopping. I decluttered way too much, and I regret it. I read that one can be a compulsive declutterer as well as a compulsive hoarder, and I truly was. Some of my decluttering episodes were really, really bad, and I truly regret them. I WANT THOSE THINGS BACK FOR PROJECT PAN! But the decluttering never helped me change as the long slow hard work of using things up for nine months seems to be doing. At the same time, I have not gone from beauty hoarder to beauty minimalist overnight. Other parts of my beauty collection (makeup, bath and body, perfume), are still large, so I have that comforting feeling of having extras in those areas. I would feel a bit insecure if all my things were used up at once, and then I would have to shop for a lot!  This is where I am now, and ready to carry on. I hope autumn will be even better than summer.
