What does everyone think of the new upgraded Birchbox Subscription Option?

~Monthly Category Choice
Select a product category you’d like to receive a sample from in your next box and/or a product category you’d like to exclude (i.e. “Send me a cleanser this month, skip the shampoo!”). The samples themselves will still be a surprise!
~Beauty Fix-It Boxes
Choose from a selection of curated boxes filled with samples that address specific beauty needs (i.e. acne-prone skin or frizzy hair). Try out something you’ve had your eye on—or give a new trend a go! You can opt to receive one of these boxes instead of your personalized box.
~Swap for Points
Opt to receive Birchbox Points in place of your Birchbox for that month. We’ll add your Points (matching the value of your monthly subscription payment) into your account on the 1st of the month.
~Exclusive Shop Discounts
As part of the premium subscription you will get a discount on the full size versions of the samples you receive so you can save on new and familiar favorites.
~Fast track to ACE status
Your monthly subscription counts towards your dollars spent towards ACE status, so you’ll get there quicker with a premium subscription.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing! Where was this posted, just on their site? I just cancelled my Annual sub because I'm not happy with the quality of the boxes anymore. I'm tired of seeing the same brands promoted all the time. But the premium options are really tempting.

I signed up ( on my phone it was $14, but when I clicked on via my laptop it was $18). I like exchanging a box for points, not as good as it was with the reviews but better than nothing!

Same here. I decided to go for the $14 and see how it is for the first month.

Here is more info about it from their site:

Birchbox Select

Beta

New customization options explained
Pick One, Skip One

Pick a sample type you’d like to receive and/or exclude from your upcoming box (i.e. "Send me a facial toner this month, skip the mascara!"). The products themselves will still be a surprise, and your options will change every month.

Fix-It Boxes

Want to know exactly what’s coming? Swap your personalized box for one of several curated boxes filled with samples that address specific beauty needs (i.e. frizzy hair or oily skin). Try out something you’ve had your eye on—or give a new trend a go! These options will change every month.

Swap for Points

Instead of receiving your next Birchbox, get 150 Birchbox Points (150 points = $15). We’ll add your Points into your account on the 1st of the month. Points can be redeemed as payment toward your future Shop orders. You can Swap for Points 4 times within a 12 month period.

Just got an email about adding extra products for your June box for all Beta Select members. If you add products you'll automatically get extra $5 off. Anyone jumping on this? Do you usually add products or no?

    • I don't think online games comes into sports activity. You need to correct your answer Mynni. However, I answer this question then for sure, I am a big fan of racket games. I was best at squash and tennis in school days. I also recently started playing squash again with my husband in doubles format after getting a good squash racket and reading the racquets reviews from here. I think females must play this kind of sports to improve their physical fitness.
    • I just realized that it's been 5 years since I was sick. All those years I was only thinking of hospitals, doctors, pills and suffocating depression and no entertainment. Now that I am finally over it all, I am sitting at home not knowing where to push myself into. I used to love playing in Vegas casinos and actually I wouldn't mind if anybody from this forum keeps me a company once again. We could wear our best dresses, have a perfect make up (I know a cool celebrity make up artist!), book our flights and go. I tried to visit a few gambling threads here but they are so godlessly old! Dated 2007 or so. Back then people perhaps were playing not in casinos but with wooden sticks. Now the world so much changed and I feel so damn falling behind it. So what do you say? Anybody cares to visit a casino with me? We can visit a Titanic museum too if you wish. Or come to my house let's play backgammon at least. Let's get wasted! Let's feel the life!
    • I would discourage you from leaving the car in the street. People may steal side mirrors or puncture the tires just out of fun these days.
    • As compared to many other students, your essay is rather good. I like it.
    • I agree about the hygiene idea of tester bottles in the supermarkets, very good point! Actually all these designed bottle samples have the possibility of opening them and poking fingers into cosmetics. I see the matter is with the design itself. Why don't you try new 3D modelling software https://subscribe.cheapoemsoft.com/autodesk/autodesk-autocad-2018/ and design the bottles that are just right? My firm designs plastic screws for packaging, so I guess you can try your bottles too.
