Please me find the perfect lip shade...

Recommended Posts

Hey hey,

I'm on a life long quest to find my perfect lip color. I feel like I've tried everything from drug store to high end and can't seem to find a color that is just right.
I'm looking for a muted, dusky pink that's closer to peach than to berry I guess. I'm very pale with blue eyes and dark hair. I'm looking for something that's matte, long-wearing, won't transfer to my chin when I'm eating/drinking and isn't sticky.
Holy grail perfect color is Mac Faux - but it's a Satin and I'd need that color as a matte.

I've swatched my favorites on my arm and here's a list of reasons why they aren't quite right for me.

Chanel Rouge Coco in Boy (I could do without the glitter and it's basically translucent so I don't really count it)

p2 Convey Greatness (too dark, too brown)

Mac Viva Glam IV (the color is fine but it smudgessss)

Mac Faux (the Color is perfect but like I said, I'd love that as matte or something that doesn't wear off as easily)

Maybelline Super Stay Crayon in Lead the way (it's probably the closest color match to Faux but it's not very matte either and I don't love the overpowering vanilla scent)

Sephora Matte Lip #13 (Beautiful but since I'm so pale it's really not a color I could pull off during the day, it looks very evening glam on me)

Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink (the color is a bit too orangey-brown BUT the main issue is that it's sooo sticky and doesn't ever dry down completely and I can't deal)

Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuit in Nudist Peach (it's fine, but very red on me, not quite what I'm looking for as an every day color)

Clinique Nude Pop (this is like 5 years old so I won't use it anymore, but I did like the color, sadly it's not a matte and I've not seen this particular color in years, maybe it's discontinued)

My perfect gloss color is Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in 07 toffee if that's any help.

TL,DR: Looking for a matte version of a color similar to Mac Faux.

Please help 🥰

    • Amazing video from Second Year No Buyer Elle S today on YouTube: "$1000 Worth of Eyeshadow ... What Could I have Bought Instead?" Elle shows only seven palettes that cost a total of $1000 (CAD). Elle is not in the dream of denial shopping. She is serious about money, facing reality, real life (though she is still enjoying the creativity of makeup). "I can't afford it," she says. I can relate to her point about being someone who buys a lot of cosmetics, but never goes for a mani or pedi, or anything like that. She asks: How many things have I missed because of my purchases? Now that's something to think about! I often think of how my life would have been different if I'd been able to start on this No Buy path at a young age. There was no Internet then, so I did not have this kind of inspiration. I only had magazines and TV ads telling me to buy, buy, buy!  After 12 pm, when Sunday depression hits, I write: I DON'T agree with the cliche of Experiences being better than shopping. Shopping is an Experience (especially in a beautiful shopping mall with wonderful food in it as well). It's a fantastic Experience. I love it, and I miss it, especially on Sunday afternoons, the saddest time of the week. Shopping is a great Experience for loners. If shopping weren't a great Experience, we would not love it so much. We would already be pursuing the other so called better Experiences. Other people are not always a great Experience. Experiences are expensive also. The only reason I am giving up my beloved shopping Experiences is to make myself richer. Because rich equals happy. Rich equals power. Without shopping, my life is a blank and empty void of anhedonia. Especially on Sundays when my heart dies a thousand deaths. (This is my normal mental state on Sunday afternoons, which have always upset me, ever since I was a little girl.)😫 Back when I could shop, I used to love the holiday season when the mall was open late Sunday nights. It would ease this pain. Now I go to bed at 6pm on Sunday (actually I do that every day), sometimes 3 pm if I feel really bad.
    • i love natural products, but before buying products , i encourage u to know what type ur skin and read about it well , then everything will be clear for u and easy
    • i need info regarding Lash Extensions from real experience ?!
    • I am religiously using Vitamin C, E, Ferulic Acid serum by Radium Skin. They ship overseas. And its not expensive too, considering how much other mainstream labels are charging.
