No, MAC does not sell pigment samples or give them out in most occaisions...

I would try the MuT Sale Forums and Ebay.

I have been buying mine on this site from Regina. She is a great seller and ships really fast.

Depends on the MAC counter.. I know a lot of people who wont give out any. And I do admit, sometimes..if the same is huge.. I'll just put a little tiny bit in a sample jar for them to take home. But if somone came up to me and just wanted a sample I couldn't do it. I mean you should just try them out at the counter.

As a company, we are not allowed to sample out ANY color products, so if you do get samples, they usually won't be more than enough to use once if anything. I know that I won't give out color product samples to people regardless, I don't want to get into trouble myself, and too, there is no need to take samples home when I am happy to put the makeup on you while you are in the store! I don't even mind if you want to walk around the mall and think about it/look at it in different lights.

Depending on what it is, IMHO, you're better off ordering from MAC. I've noticed e/s and pigments aren't usually any cheaper on eBay than the MAC website. However, I was able to get the Microfine Refinisher for $7.99 (+$5.99 shipping) as compared to $22.50 (+$5.95 shipping and taxes) the other day! Oh, and I ordered more of the mineralize e/s duos for less than I would've paid MAC, but only by a few bucks.
