Some MMU sites claim that given the "mineral" ingredients, technically MMU will last indefinitely (i.e. won't go bad since they can not support microbial growth). Any opinion on this?

How about MMU that has organic ingredients (i.e. oats, rice powder, oil, etc.) which has shorter shelf life (1.5 - 2 years)? Would organic ingredients shorten the "life" of MMU?

The reason I'm curious is I don't know how long I should keep my MMU. For traditional makeup usually I think the practice is "two years".

Sucks. My favorite foundation has organic ingredient. I don't use make up often and I have a tendency to hoard and buying in bulk (when they are on sale). I was wishing that they would keep longer.
